Fox "news" carries water for the republicans by lying about the cuts-that they won't affect children, that SNAP is ridden by fraud, etc. School lunches? We are going to cut school lunches to give billionaires tax breaks?

What garbage you spew.

It is not the taxpayers responsibility to furnish breakfast and lunch for school kids because their parasite parents don't want to cover their responsibilities of parenthood.

Is it the responsiblity of taxpayers to pay Monsanto not to grow corn? You OK with that, of course.

Farm Subsidies need a complete overhaul. I live in an area where the fields are full of unpicked product...they met the government quota, so let the rest rot and we are paying for that!

(hprinze) The majority of people collecting SNAP (which is an entitlement by the way) are the people who lost their jobs! Which means they paid into the program before they started collecting it. I am glad you are one of the lucky ones who have a job, But not everyone is as lucky as you. If they are lucky enough to find a job, it's either part time, or the pay and benefits suck, and they end up on government assistance as well. Look most everyone living on the Government's dime would give it away in a heartbeat for a decent paying job with good benefits! Bottom line if you are not one of the lucky 2% then you're probably one paycheck away from needing help yourself! So lighten up, and have some compassion. It could do you some good. So what have we learned... Want people off SNAP create good paying jobs with decent benefits. People working pay taxes, reduce Government debt, and boost the economy. But before you can take their benefits they need jobs! And how can we do that? We make the upper 2% pay their fair share, and put their money into the economy, working, and middle class peoples hand. The more people that are working, the more people that are buying, and the more jobs are needed. It's not the Government assistance programs that are breaking our Nation, it's the lack of jobs. No Brainer really!! It's called supply and demand. And the GOP, Teabaggers will stop at nothing to see this don't happen. Remember this on e******n day coming up! Or we can just let them continue to suck down my ties on their yacht in the Riviera on the poor, and working mans dime?!

MSNBC is the most insanely biased leftwing network, which is literally part of the Obama administration. It has a cast of liberal commentators who spew lies and nonsense and your complain about Fox News.

I do. But not the government. It should be private charity, not "I give at work to the government." The problem is a net loss, as more money goes into the government than comes out.

Like Nancy Pelosi said "You don't go to church on Sunday to pray and prey on people the rest of the week." This is American and no one should have to starve, you have no idea why those people need help. 80% of SNAP recipients are the working poor earning about $14,532 for an individual. The House Republicans will not raise the minimum wage and have vetoed every jobs bill the President has tried to pass.

They even filibusterd the "Veterans Jobs Core Act 2012", that would have helped train Iraq and Afghan War veterans for jobs as cops, fire fighters and national park workers. I guess I can understand why they would not want to help train cops or fire fighters since the first cuts GOP governors make is to education, law enforcement and fire fighters. Why train more when you are going to cut their jobs? But, I have no idea what they have against training national park workers. Do you? The result of that action is 900,000 veterans on food stamps. Great planning GOP!

Others on SNAP are the disabled, seniors and 60% are children. This is when that so called pro-life stance became "pro-life until birth then I don't give a crap." The ads we use to see on TV with starving children and their bloated bellies will soon be a reality right here in America.

What do the House Republicans do? They write a clause that says SNAP recipients have to be working to receive food stamps. THEY ARE WORKING WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT THEM TO DO ON A MINIMUM WAGE. What is wrong with the rights thinking? I guess the next thing will be child labor.

Food Stamps Use is Highest in Red States: The T***h Republicans Do Not Want You To Know
http://www.policymic.com/articles/14007/food-stamp-use-is-highest-in-red-states-the-t***h-republicans-do-not-want-you-to-know

This is really a mind-boggler, the right is so concerned about fraud in food stamps, but not the fraud like Walmart making a 4.5% annual profit off of their employees food stamps. Nope, because the rich are getting richer; this has been common knowledge since 2005 and the House Republicans could care less.

It will be the Walmart CEO who has the big screen TV's, and driving around in the Lamborghini's, Bugatti Veyron's and Mercedes-Benz's. A person on food stamps gets about $4 dollars a day, if they had big TV's, etc. they got them before they hit bottom.

Most of the states where people are struggling to put food on the table are Red States, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia, Missiouri, Nevada, Tennessee, and Ohio. We are truly on our way to becoming the richest Third World Country in the world.

Where Americans Struggle To Put Food On The Table

The most food insecure states for children are also Red States, New Mexico, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Nevada, Texas, South Carolina, and Mississippi.

If you do not think the taxpayer should help put food on their tables, why don't you make a donation to Child Hunger Ends Here.

Since the holidays are almost upon us maybe you would want to make another donation to help feed America. With 49 million people living in poverty a lot of people will need help.

This SO MUCH BULLCRAP!!!!!

What the hell happened to STANDING ON YOUR OWN TWO FEET? What happened to SELF-RESPONSIBILITY?? My parents lived through the depression, and never had any money. They grew their own food and traded with each other using the barter system. They never wore shoes in the summer, because they only had them when going to school.

The article I once read about scientist's predicting that 90% of the population will die within six months if a successful EMT attack wipes out our power grid IS SO TRUE! Their EBT card won't work anymore, so they will simply starve to death.

I suggest liberals like you donate your whole paycheck to these charities if you're so concerned with them all starving.

Boo hoo, get out the crying towels.

Cut it to $.50 cents a day! When they get hungry enough they will either learn how to feed themselves, or they will simply starve to death.

They still have weekends, or days off, they can work those days. Also, they can use their vacation time.

What jobs bill has Obama submitted? The $865B stimulus package was supposed to be for job creation, instead turned into a payoff to the unions and democrat cronies. So, what jobs bills are you talking about, all I've seen is the loss of jobs thanks to Obama.

You bleeding heart liberals are a joke! I was born and raised in a poor family and my parents saw to it that we were fed properly. I took my own lunch to school each day and never could afford to buy a hot meal in the cafeteria. Instead we paid $.02 a day for a carton of milk (when we could afford it). This free lunch program for the so-called starving children is a waste of my tax dollar! And, whenever you see some mother protesting not getting enough of this "free stuff" it's not some skinny mother, it's usually some 250-300lb well fed mother!
