No that's not my socio-economic situation. It's just my name. Born in '47. Retired in South Florida. Worked for a large corporation for almost 35 yrs. VietNam vet. Social
moderate but a fiscal right-winger. Volunteer for a law-enforcement agency in Palm Beach County.

I'm a proud card-carrying Democrat that can't seem to get my arms around the political angst being tossed around by the teabaggers.

Looking forward to getting into some of these debates.

Hi Rich Thanks for all you do to help your country and community. Your background would not allow you to be a teabagger. How anyone who lives in this country can do what they are doing to bring this country to its knees is beyond me. The sting that comes with losing the e******n is lasting way too long. They will never get over it. I am a retired corrections employee from Vermont. Work part time as a deputy sheriff and have a son in Florida. Love your state. Hope to hear more from you.

Welcome Rich, thanks for bringing some additional sanity and common sense and logic. to this forum. You will find that many on the right are committed, or should be. Also, if you confuse them with facts, t***h or opposing viewpoints, be prepared for personal attack with concomitant denial

Thanks. I'm sure I can handle any attacks, and to some respects, that's expected. It's not far off from what goes on in my HOA.

Hopefully I can bring some meaningful debate to this forum and focus primarily on real issues.

As a fellow 'Nam Vet, I welcome you both "home" and to this forum. You earned your way here, and are welcomed by all, I would venture.

Enjoy!
