I have worked within the system for over 50 years,
I have served within the Military in combat.
So What?
I have seen some tremendous changes in my lifetiime
in culture, in technology, in what is and is not accepted sociallly.
We do not get to pick what Country we are born in.
We do not get to pick our parents and their social status.
We are shaped and molded by all of the specific factors
of our particular circumstance.
I am very thankful that I was born in the United States Of
America.
All of my views and comments come from my good fortune
in being a citizen of What was once the greatest of nations.

What nation is the greatest of nations, now?
I've been to several different nations, and though this nation isn't perhaps what it once was, I still think it is the greatest nation.

What was once..... is correct! By the time obummer gets through, we'll have to work hard to get back to third world status.

Welcome oldpop and have a good time. I don't know if we can ever right the ship and get her to sail as mightily as she once did, it will take a whole lot of work to bring her back to that status again.
I, too, welcome you aboard, OldPop! All are welcome here, especially combat veterans. You have paid special dues. Feel free to speak your mind!
