OPP Vets
There are many veterans here on OPP

People who served the US just like me

Some like Oldroy served before Viet Nam

A time of relative peace and somewhat calm

Mr. Ed flew planes and keeps his eye on the sky

JMHO with his coffee cup always sailing by

Badbobby and Ve’hoe are from a different tribe

Brought honor and glory while serving with p***e

Lpnmajor and slatten49, are both heroes of mine

They try to keep it civil talking in this field of mines

Ranger7374, emarine, and Coos Bay Tom

Also served the US to keep us all from harm

There are some female vets I wish that I could name

They too fought and served and died just the same

We must not forget the parents, wives and kids too

They struggled to hold on while living without you

So, instead of just saluting the old red, white, and blue

Let’s salute the olive drab, camo and sand colors too

No matter how you feel about the politics in play

We have to honor them all on this Veterans Day
