The U.S. Congress easy solution for the VA hospital Doctors shortrage

Jerry A. Loc: California

U.S. Rep. Dr. Joe Heck, R-NV, and Rep. Annie Kuster, D-N.H. introduced legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives aimed at alleviating a shortage of Medical Doctors in the U.S. Veterans hospitals by increasing the number of physician assistants without Medical degree. The bill would establish a five year pilot program under which the Department of Veterans Affairs would provide assistance to former medics and corpsmen training to become physician assistants in exchange for a period of service in VA clinics after earning their certification as a PA. The bill would also provide additional job opportunities for service men as they return to civilian life. Physician Assistants provide high quality, cost effective Medical Care to our veterans, and are part of the solution in improving access to Medical care for our veterans according to U.S. Rep. Dr. Heck, R-NV.

Sounds like a good plan. The wife and I, when we lived in the big city, used the medical facilities at a local USAF base hospital. Most of our examinations and healthcare requirements were attended to by physician assistants...some were civilian contractors. We had no complaint with any of them, the service they provided was very good.

I had the pleasure to meet Dr. heck when he first ran for Congress, and I donated heavily to his campaign. But, since his first term, he has moved farther and farther to the left...to the point I quit supporting him. Here is the conservative ratings for the senators and Congressmen in your state, pal...http://www.conservativereview.com/search?keywords&state=NV. Being a libtard, you should love these ratings.

Why the shortage? Doctors don't want to work within a socialist system?

Wanna fix the VA? REALLY want to fix it? Simple. Pass a law. Congress, the president, all the Congressional and White House staff pukes and their families have to use the VA exclusively for their medical needs.
How much you wanna bet it gets fixed in a month?

It would be fun to sign them all up. All have their first appointments at the same time. Collect them in the same room after and turn on the hidden mics.
