First year students at Texas A&M veterinary school were attending their first anatomy class,with a real dead cow.
They all gathered around the surgery table where the cows body was covered with a white sheet.
The professor started the class by telling them,"There are two important things you must have in veterinary medicine.The first is that you not be disgusted by anything involving the animals body".
Then the prof pulled back the sheet and inserted his finger in the cows rectum.working his finger around he finally removed it and stuck his finger in his mouth.
"Go ahead,do the same thing I did"he told the class.
At first the class freaked out and some said "No way".But after a few minutes they took turns inserting their finger in the dead cow and then put their fingers in their mouths.
When the whole class had done this ,the Prof said,"Now the second important thing for you to know is how to observe what is happening.I stuck my middle finger in the cow,but it was my index finger I put in my mouth"!!!
He finished the lesson by telling them "Now be observant and always know what you are doing"!!
