Speaker Ryan has removed the portrait of former Speaker Hastert

It seems to me that Ryan's main reason for the removal may well be what Hastert did with the immigration bill sponsored by Ted Kennedy and John McCain in 2006. Hell, even George Bush was pushing that thing and the Senate was getting it done so when Hastert and his House refused to even consider it after December 2006 it was a dead bill. I bet Ryan's reason is to punish Hastert for that more than to get at him for mishandling of funds. What do you think?

You really did fail to see that Ryan is strong on amnesty as was McCain and Ted Kennedy. Bush was along with them in trying to push that fool law through in the spring of 2007. I say that the reason Ryan took the portrait down was because Hastert had led the House members in refusing to pass that law.
