Billy Graham Warns Christians to ‘Prepare for Persecution’ in America

Billy Graham is warning American Christians to prepare themselves for unprecedented persecution. It has been possible in the United States to profess Christianity without paying much of a price for that profession. Such freedom is unusual, both in the broader world and throughout history. That veil of protection around the American church is about to lift, according to Graham. From The Christian Post:

“As a whole, our nation does not know what privation is. We do not know what sacrifice is. We do not know what suffering is. Suppose persecution were to come to the church in America, as it has come in other countries,” wrote Graham.

“Since we have experienced little religious persecution in this country, it is likely that under pressure many would deny Christ. Those who shout the loudest about their faith may surrender soonest.”

Graham went on to list “five ways to fortify yourself so that you will be able to stand in that day.” These included making sure of one’s relationship to God, walking with God, regularly reading Scripture, praying always, and meditating on Christ.

“Today our nation ranks as the greatest power on the face of the Earth. But if we put our trust in armed might instead of Almighty God, the coming conflict could conceivably go against us,”
continued Graham.

“History and the Bible indicate that mechanical and material might are insufficient in times of great crisis.”

Graham’s sense of impeding persecution is shared by others throughout the church. As the legal and cultural environment continues its radical shift toward militant secularism, increased social pressure will sort out the proverbial wheat from the chaff. Who will continue to stand for biblical teaching when doing so will carry a cost?

Thank you Auntie. It is definitely coming. We have seen more of a hatred for Christians here in the last few years. Something that would have been unheard of not many years ago. In my lifetime I have witnessed such radical changes. Growing up most people had respect for God and Christians. Now people openly criticize us. But it is OK. We have always known this would come because we do know the truth and The Word. I agree we should walk with Him daily, pray, learn to listen to Him, praise Him, meditate on Him, thank Him, study His Word, and fellowship with other believers. No matter what happens here, we will be with Him soon for eternity. Amen.

Loss of privilege for Christians, a real thing accelerating over the last decade, is not persecution but democracy catching up with us. "Religious Freedom" is of no concern whatsoever for the Christian; our one and only freedom is in Christ. What does that freedom grant us? To turn the other cheek and walk the extra mile. An honest look shows that what we may see as a suppression of our religious freedom is, in fact, pure and simple discrimination by the Law of the Land. Choose, and you must: Christian or American? These are oil and water.

Billy Graham got fat on Christian privilege. But this is or should be true for all Christians: if we are not mocked, shunned, persecuted, or killed for our faith, we are doing something wrong. To expect safety, comfort, and respect for our faith is wholly delusional. America fed that delusion. And we thought this was as it should be. It was not that way in Rome...and there was no complaint, only do or die faith.

Persecution for our faith is not covered by the Constitution but by the Beatitudes. Again, if we are not being persecuted, we have missed the mark.
Persecution should be the norm, if we live as Christ was in the world.

...and yet, the church has been committing a sustained attack on everyone else.

-They have denied rights to people due to their sexual orientation, political alignment, sexual behavior, age, sex, race, theological "alignment" or beliefs, fashion to name a few. I bring up fashion because a member of a church that I basically grew up in, told my mother that her ear rings (which were clip-on) were not appropriate for church. And yet, my mother used to like to wear hats, which is pointed out by Paul, that "women should cover their head".

Yes the church should prepare for a sustained siege from me and others like me.

The reason is simple. Hypocrites don't deserve a voice, they deserve to be shamed into mediocrity. Especially, when the community protects child molesters, rapists, social outcasts, and idiots. You can have them all. That way we know where to fight them.

2 Peter 2, but they were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false preachers among you, who privily shall bring in damable heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them...
So when you study yourselves to be shown approved, you cannot be deceived.
Romans 1:28 and even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind. 31 without understanding, covenant breakers...
That's why just reading the Bible and not studying it will leave you open for suggestions from the scribes or the false one, therefor misleading people so they will be in the great aposty.
Ezekiel 13:18 - 23 talks about those who willfully deceive Gods people.

The church has been over run by false prophets, and are teaching people wrongs, this has been going on for a time now. Now DB with respect for your statement on the women covering their head, that is in 1 Corinthians 11:10 "for this cause ought the women to have power on her head because of the angels", the word covered is 2619 in the Greek and it means to cover wholly, to hide, a veil. These angels are the fallen angels like in the Old Testament. The power is Christ. Study yourselves to be shown approved. If you plan to fight them without Christ you will lose more than you know. Sin will take you farther then you want to go, make you stay longer then you want to stay.

Our fake president is not black. He is half white and half black. He is also not an American. He is Kenyan by birth.
