I have tried all my life to understand what an African American is and I still don't understand. Taking the American part away makes black people something they have never been since most of ours were born here and therefor never were African.
I think it is really sure that African-American is some kind of PC talk which is liberal dreamed up by progressives.

I don't know what you should call yourself. I never call myself anything unless I am filling out one of those government provided multiple choice things and have to select Caucasian. Whoops they have swung that one to white, haven't they.

It is all a game! I know two African-Americans personally. One is from Kenya, the other is from South Africa. Both have become U.S. citizens, they consider themselves to be Americans.
