We have all kinds here on OPP. Right wing, left wing, wing nut. Religious, irreligious, and indifferent. Sincere and honest, or insincere trolls. Name it, we got it. Lots of strong opinions here. Some of them are held by those of us who know what we are talking about. Then there are those others.
As in most places where strong opinions are held, tempers tend to flare sometimes. This is preferable to the pervasive apathy that surrounds most political matters like a foul miasma. At least people here care enough to GET mad.
Have fun, grow a thick skin, and jump right in when you feel froggy. You certainly picked some topics guaranteed to start a good discussion and an even better free-for-all. An Aussie take on some of this stuff might provide a good perspective.

By way of codicil, there are those on OPP who think me to be an arrogant, opinionated troglodyte, albeit one with an excellent education. Pay no attention to them, they are just jealous of my incandescent intellect and well-documented modesty.

How refreshing! A correspondent who boldly states his name, as I do, although I mash the two together because I was asked for "a" username, which I thought meant one name.

Many others hide their identity for caution is the better part of valor and I don't blame them. I am 92 and fear neither retribution nor insult. Others could have much to lose if their opinions were too widely known.

Buen suerte!!! I'm Irish and German in heritage, a patriotic American, and VERY politically conservative; as you may have deduced. I'm also a "RECOVERED" liberal [v**ed John Kerry - how embarrassing]. Agenda 21 is a conspiracy theory that the rich and powerful want to drastically reduce the worlds population to sustainable levels. The methods that they wish use to achieve this are rather disturbing. We're talking mass murder here. Is it true? I honestly don't know. But I wouldn't put anything past such people. History has many examples of the lengths they will go to.

Thank you. I know the concept but not the name. It may very well be true. The idea that there is a s***e class just large enough to feed and cater to the elite is still insane. These elitist will grow old and die just like everyone else. Even if they intend to leave that type of world to their children, eventually the s***es will rise up and take over. Truly insane.

John, I had the pleasure of serving in the Korean War with a couple of your lads. the war we had was not at the front but in a bar brawl in downtown Pusan. After we finished bloodying each other up a bit we spent the rest of the night hugging as drunks do and developed a real atmosphere of camaraderie. We never met again, but I've often thought about them and wondered if they made it home. Huck
