Gotta say I very much enjoyed the video. I drove a 37 Ford Hotrod in high school and grew up when most classics were common as cell phones. Cars used to be a work of art.I always love it when an automaker does the retro thing with one of their models

My 37 Ford was Chevy powered. It had 4.11 gearing and ladder bars that bolted in under the door hinges. It had an 11 inch clutch and I could rev it to 6 grand and dump the clutch and it would wheelie about a foot off the ground and take off like a gun. I won quite a few street races with it. Luckily I never got a contest of speed ticket but mufflers were a ticket getter

It was and for a 16 year old with not much mechanical sk**ls I built quite the machine. I did quite a bit of horse trading to come up with the parts to build that car. I traded a 56 chevy with a worn out 265 for the body.and found a 56 chevy wagon that supplied the rearend. I put 46 ford hubs on the front end to get away from the 37 Ford bolt pattern. The clutch came from a 1 ton pickup and the engine and t***smission came from a 57 Chevy. That car was a 4 door so I scrapped it. The engine was a recently built 283 bored 20 over with a mild cam. The light body of the 37 made maximum use of the small block.

It did give me something to do. I had another love and It was hunting and fishing. I had quite the collection of guns when I was young and it helped feed the family. I am the oldest kid in my family. I was also into wrestling and made letterman. Being a good kid was easy then. Nowdays its probly harder. I raise a grandson soon to be 13. I enrolled him in the Navy sea cadets and he likes it. He is also into Lego Robotics. Any thing I can do to keep him on a straight course I will. I was not so fortunate with his father.
