While that may be true, we all know what would happen if it had gone down that way don't we?? Cops are damned if they and damned if they don't anymore.....
And they are the ones later fired for it....

I have two friends who are Chicago Heat cops (motorcycle) and its gotten so bad there they hardly bother arresting anyone anymore....Too much paper work and the risk of altercation and them getting written up for it make it "not" high on their priority list...Some is retaliation against that lying Rahm, and some is absolute disgust in how they are treated for doing their job....

Love the cops attitude......If nothing else it sure shocked those girls that she did it and could do it too...

Had a Judge in Chicago that would order "delinquents and gang members" to the "basketball court" to play against each other..They could not play on the team with their "thugs" and had to have 3 games as part of anger control classes..Really..

Anyway, the results were amazing and grew until funding ran out for the basket ball court and the City of Chi_Town would not fund it anymore.... A true shame because the year it went on those young adults learned a little respect for each other and actually started "talking" than fighting...Know of three stories followed in the paper about it where three gang members eventually got away from their "group and went the other way...

No doubt in my mind had it continued there would have been other success stories too..

Your skull-cracking method - in addition to the murders of unarmed people - hasn't worked so far. You really can't think(?) out of your little box!

I do recall, in my growing years, that the police were the people we went to when things got difficult. They consisted of people who lived in the neighborhood and were respected, not only for their position, but for their personality as well. We often just stopped to talk with them.

Does anyone know what ever happened to the Police Athletic League? As I recall the police were involved as coaches of teams and teachers in gymnastics. I'm not sure but I don't believe they received pay for this work. It could have been volunteer. It certainly made the neighborhood great and some good athletes were developed as well.

Nice post. It led me to this quote..."My message to you all is of hope, courage and confidence. Let us mobilize all our resources in a systematic and organized way and tackle the grave issues that confront us with grim determination and discipline worthy of a great nation.":|

I also think a culture within the police will be created that the officer knows any encounter will likely be his employment demise, and go full boar on an individual that clearly deserves it.
There are officers that will not care what the oucome will be as they know they will lose regardless of the individual and their actions that created this violent encounter, and this is being created by these thugs.
Violence will be met with violence, and this appears to be all these thugs understand.......May God help them for what they unknowingly are creating.
