Pretty cool. This rescue unit does a good job.
Looks to me like they would have lowered a basket. Those props look awfully close to the rocks. That could have been a disaster. :shock:

I'm not doubting their sk**ls. It just seems like a basket rescue would have been less dangerous for the copter crew.

Another reason not to have chopper blades that close to boulders at around 14,000 ft. I've been to the Maroon Bells a few times. A popular site for scenic photography.
