I am posting this on behalf of BearK.

http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/global-trade-is-collapsing-as-the-worldwide-economic-recession-deepens

There have been many recent articles forecasting gloom and doom for the worldwide economy. The volatility in the stock market alone is an indicator of bad things to come from all the various analyses I have read. Take care of your investments. :(

Not only collapsing trade but when the prices of food start escalating dramatically, then the end isn't far away.

If the global economy collapses there won't be any investments to take care of...

Remember - you can make more money betting against the market. It falls a lot faster than it goes up. Buy SQQQ - which "shorts" the Nasdaq.

There are always ways to prepare yourself and help insulate yourself against such events. The smart ones always figure it out.

That will work but only to a certain extent. You need to have other backups to help out too.

Trade goods are great also. Toilet paper, whiskey, ladies sanitary products, tools, fuels, fresh eggs. If we get whacked with an EMP bomb you will need to have someway to cook outside. Dutch ovens and wood will be of value. I consider them to be my investments. If a man is starving, he cant eat metal no matter how precious. Clean water may be priceless. Lotta things to consider
