You certainly picked a place with plenty of work! Welcome, just jump right in. Right wing, left wing, plain old wing nut, you name it we got it. Something for everyone. Tempers do flare on this site, and insults are not unusual. This happens when people who are passionate about issues debate, and argue. My view is that even the ones I disagree with are better people than those who are too ignorant or apathetic to have an opinion.

Yes I agree that any opinion is better than none. The t***h and solutions is what I like more than opinions. As I have been working in Africa for 24 years I hear some of the most off the wall opinions as the only education most people have is highly religiously oriented.

I joined for the same reason, good luck. The problem is the liberal philosophy can not stand hearing itself. Freedom, free markets, free people are the happiest. No one, not even a liberal, enjoys working for "The Man."

While extremists in any venue will destroy open thought, education was invented by religious people and you will find the most open minded people in people who do have a belief that we are not the end all to human existence. The fact of the matter is that virtually all religions agree on the five or so big issues in life and spend their time disagreeing on lessor issues that really don't matter when it gets down to it. Virtually every dispute in the world eminates from the "rat in the box syndrome." Let's learn to feed and house everyone and we will eliminate most disagreements.

Welcome Wilber. I must warn you that everyone on here has an opinion about what the facts are and they have an opinion on how to analyze those facts. And they are likely to have an opinion that drives you to drinking should you be not so inclined. I am addicted the these good and not so good members. I have to have them every day with my coffee.
