A small fast food joint in Detroit is able to pay it's workers $15.00/hour, up from the current $12.00/hour, the owners want to expand. Seems that the heads of the giant companies like McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's and the numerous pizza joints might learn something from this business model. Also, the geniuses at faux infotainment like Caputo and Dobbs among others shoud do a story on this business. But most likely, stories like this are ignored, and they preach the gloom and doom of repressive capitalism and low wages.
I hope this business is successful and grows into a regional and maybe and national chain. Needs a better name though.

Its Detroit and he sells Chicken. That's like selling water in the Sahara. And the prices are not cheap. $6.00 for a Chicken Sandwich.

Why do conservatIVES always distort fact, if they don't just plain outright lie? Read the freaking menu before posting asinine comments.

I read the menu and the previous post is 100% spot on. The chicken sandwich is 6.00. Add fries and a cola it goes to 9.00. Add fries and a shake and it goes to 10.00. Maybe you're seeing something on the menu no one else sees. The poster neither lied or distorted. You're the one who posted the menu. Maybe you should have read it before letting your alligator mouth overload your hummingbird brain.

Thanks Oldguy

Liberals do not read very well. Did you see the shake combo meal for $4.00? Fries and a Shake. nothing else.

Maybe YOU should read the posts. The first guy made the comment that it was just chicken in Detroit, an obvious r****t comment. The menu has other items, and I did not mention price, but since you and the other cheapskate are complaining, I guess you think food should be cheap. Now take your cheap self to any of the big, minimum wage chains, and buy anything but what's on the cheap value menu and you quickly get to $7-10. So what is the problem? If the food is good, and the business has customers willing to pay the prices, it should be none of your business, but in any event, if the price is too steep for you, don't go, you can always find some slop at your favorite greasy spoon, and you probably don't even tip.

You are even more dense than I thought. The shake combo is an ADD ON to any of the above sanwiches/wraps.
I am really trying to restrain from making comments about conservatards, but you cheapies are posing a real challenge to that restraint.

That's right $4.50 add on to your meal. So the Chicken Sandwich with the Shake and Fries is $10.50? Ouch. Poor folks in Detroit can't afford that

Nothing r****t about noting that African Americans like Chicken and those restaurants thrive in Black Neighborhoods. Its just a fact any fast food chain demographic study would reveal.

There is no problem with any business paying wh**ever wage he wants to pay. The problem stems from the Govt. forcing anyone.

I have no problem with this guy paying $15 an hour, he could pay $25 per hour for all I care. It is capitalism at work, more power to him. If the customer is willing to pay the higher cost for the product, he'll probably do well. But, now if another similar type business opens up across the street, and offers a lower price (and most likely pays minimum wage) we now have competition. At this higher labor cost at $15 an hour may put him out of business if there is enough competition.

I believe what we have here is a business that has no competition. Check them out a year from now and see if he is still in business.

Bo is like a vulture sitting on a tree limb, just waiting for one little misstep, slip of the tongue, differing opinion, or what he perceives as a r****t remark. And, only his opinion counts.

Nobody is questioning the guy paying 15.00 per hour. All anyone has said is that it's his business and he can pay wh**ever he wants. Unless he's accepting food stamps for his meals there is no way he can stay in business in Detroit and continue to pay that kind of wage and stay in business. Maybe it's the part of town he's in or for wh**ever reason he's able to pay that, let's see if he's in business this time next year. Last time I was in Detroit, (30+ year trucker) I didn't see a whole lot of folks who could afford his food. If he can make a go of it more power to him. I respect his willingness to take a gamble in an insolvent town.
