One of the most interesting commentaries I have seen on atheism's claim that science negates the existence of God. However you stand on this subject, the video is well worth your time.

No, God has given us life, The Word, and reason, and the Bible to guide and govern our development.. Man has developed the church allegedly as a means to worship God, but the earthly church has often morphed into a power base for unscrupulous people. Today's church is often just a social organization rather than a group of people gathered together to thank God and ask for the Lord's guidance and blessings.

Science is not one homogeneous unit. It is not a party representing atheism. That some scientists take their findings as refuting the existence of God is ridiculous. They refute some pie-in-the-sky white robed and bearded entity sitting on a throne in the heavens. Hubble did not spot him ergo....

For thousands of years, Christians and Jews and Muslims have been the leading of Science. The Scientific Method was invented and improved upon by a devout Jew and a Christian monk. Faith is not at odds with Science, nor the reverse.

Just my opinion. Science is a collection of theories, ever changing. Somethings we accepted as truth through science years ago, we now know is simply not fact. Science is based upon man's limited abilities.

God, as the creator of the universe, has a complete understanding of all things. We have a limited understanding based upon what we perceive to be the truth in the moment. To me at least, science is nothing more than man's attempt to better understand the workings of all things.

My God can not be buried by mere human beings. I don't believe science is capable of proving there is no God.

You are open minded enough to appreciate this video. It shows part of the darwinism and intelligent design debate.

I can agree with this. I've seen all of these occurrences myself. I would add that there are some denominations that honestly believe that their theology is the ONLY way to get into Heaven; all others are guaranteed a direct trip to hell.

True statement. Our numbering system isn't called the "Arabic Numbering System" because it was devised by the Romans. Oh wait! That's the "Roman Numerals." I've often wondered, of the people who want to get rid of everything Islamic, how they would calculate anything related to numbers. Have they ever tried to add, subtract, multiply, or divide Roman Numerals.

I've read several respected "scientists" who are Believers. They realize that a complete understanding of God isn't possible for us humans. The "created" can't understand the "Creator." If we could, our egos would dictate that there'd be no need for a "Creator." Our best is to figure out a little bit of God's mysteries at a time.

For what it's worth, I've been a proponent of "Intelligent Design" since reading Strobel's books on the subject; specifically, The Case for Christ.

Science deals with the natural world. Last I checked gods realm was in the supernatural. Now myself, I think the question of god is like an onion and science is slowly peeling away the layers. There are a lot of layers though so I don't think science has buried god, yet. Will it bury god? Well that is an entirely different question...

For me the trouble with The Case For Christ is that it's based on so-called proofs and logical deductions. I am not against reason or the critical intellect; far from it. But if Jesus wants to give us mere approximations of the "kingdom of heaven" in seven different metaphors, not Strobel or anyone else can give us more.

I'm glad you're always awake, so to speak. Why is the world filled with pedantic clowns?
