This just showed up here, is very skinny, and appears to have a back injury or something. We don't have anything to feed a cat. This appears to be a 5 to 6 week old kitten. What do we feed the damn thing!

Wh**ever you do, DON'T go to sleep - if the cat is still hungry. They've been known to eat people's faces off. I've found cheese to be attractive to cats - and they eat it too. In fact, one of mine, will not eat anything - unless there's cheese in it.

BTW, I ensure that she's fed before I sleep - because the time or two I've forgotten, I've woken up with her in my face - jaws wide.

You're serious. First of all, it breaks my heart to see the precious kitten in the care of someone that calls it "the damn thing"..... I'm truly glad you cared enough to give it some tuna. Someone said milk. Can you imagine that. I'm sorry to sound " snarky" but I'm an animal freak and you obviously are not. Thank you greatly for befriending the little feline
Now go online..."how to care for a stray kitten"...and if you intend to keep it, pls. call a vet. Chances are its feral and would need different care. I.e. shots, etc. Good luck!

Archie, I owe you an apology. Sorry to have responded earlier in the manner in which I did. When I realized (too late) that it was you, I felt badly. I enjoy your posts and meant no disrespect. When it comes to animals and kids, I'm off the charts. PZG

Your perception of ArchieB is COMPLETELY WRONG!!!!!!!!!

He used the phrase "damn thing" because he loves animals and was frustrated to not know how to best provide for the kitten. He will likely buy the best kitten food, whole milk and toys available for the baby.

Considering it is you, the likihood is your wife is training the feline. She has made sure your life insurance is paid up and will not be accused of contributing to your demise. Smart woman, except when she chose you.     :D ;-) ;-) ;-)

No apology needed here! Those who know me, know that I'm all foam, and no beer in cases like this. This poor thing is POOR!! It is cat hide streched over a skeleton! Trust me, any animal in our care gets nothing but the best!
I am positive that it is a feral kitten. Sad, it sure hasn't been making much of a living!
It is laying in my lap now with a full belly, purring!
We will see how it goes...
