Some clarification here: B****s are 12% of the population. In a situation involving a black and a white, the black is the perpetrator in almost 90% of the cases. The ratio of black on white rape, as opposed to white on black, is 4000:1, and these rapes are almost all committed by black males between the ages of 15 and 45, who comprise about 7% of the population. Ditto for violent crimes of all sorts.These are stats from Eric Holder's own DOJ, not something I made up. In Chicago, non-Hispanic w****s are 30% or so of the population, and commit only about 5% of the violent crimes. B****s are around 30% also, and commit almost 70% of the violent crimes. Once again, using the same age demographic, black males 15-45, in this case about 12% of the population, 70% of the violent crime.

When I read the two news stories the term "h**e crime" came to mind. So I looked at the FBI Uniform Crime Report on H**e Crimes (2011). These are not necessarily contradictory of the statistics you cite above (although I did not confirm them), but a closer view of the senseless violence behind these two cases. {I was somewhat surprised that were "so few" of these h**e crimes reported. There may be some incompleteness; only 13.3% of the 14,575 participating law enforcement agency reported any h**e crimes (the rest reported zero, rather than did not report according FBI description).}

There is another factor: White on black crime, although less common, is FAR more likely to be classified as a h**e crime. The fact is black on white crime, even when it is blatantly racially motivated, is almost NEVER reported as a h**e crime.

There were 6,222 incidents reported with 7,713 victims. 3,465 (46.9%) were racially biased and of those 72.0% were anti-black bias, and 16.7% were anti-white. (4.8% anti-Asian, 4.7% multi-race, and 1.9% anti-American Indian). The distribution by the 3,645 victims (instead counts by incidents) is approximately the same.

In 2011, the races of the 5,731 known h**e crime offenders were as follows:

59.0 percent were white.
20.9 percent were black.
7.1 percent were groups made up of individuals of various races (multiple races, group).
1.4 percent were Asian/Pacific Islander.
0.8 percent were American Indian/Alaskan Native.
10.8 percent were unknown.

These numbers are still disproportionate from the 12%-88% Black-Other counts in the whole US population, but not as alarmingly as the more generalized number in the quoted message.
