I am looking at Lake Ridge. I lived there and I think I have found a townhouse that will be perfect for us. It is one story on the end, fireplace and a nice little back yard. Only 2 bedroom with 2 baths, but if the kids come to visit they can bunk together or use the living room. I am looking forward to home! My cousin looked at the townhome and the area, she gave it a big thumbs up. Price is real reasonable and I will be able to pay for it, so no mortgage. It is on the small side, only 1600 sq ft., but little is good for me! And, it is not an old property, built in 2009. If I do not run out of steam and get lazy, I can be home by 15 Oct......

I am looking at Pack Rat. That is the container thing they drop off and will ship anyplace in the US. This means that I can take the most important stuff minus furniture. I am not too good to shop at consignment stores for those things!

I know you know this, but I am a compulsive busybody. Did your cousin check the association fees?

Even with a small back area, you could do some container gardens for your own veggies.

We are going to have to rent a motor boat. Rowing is out of the question.

:-o

She is, to my mind, "out of this world" lovely in every respect! Does that make her an alien? If that's the case,
"beam me up, Scotty!"

Good point. No, she did not and I know that those dues can be outrageous! Thank you, I did not even think about that.

The back yard, faces West so I will get the afternoon sun which will allow me to grow lots of veggies! I also have complete use of the side yard as it butts up to a fence. I talked to the owners and they are selling because they do not like winter. So, I put it out to them a trade my house for theirs. That would save the trouble of putting this one on the market. Of course this would be handled through lawyers so no one gets burnt. What do you think? Good idea or not?

See, I knew it. You are a Birkenstock wearing alien. First with bilocation and now green.

Busted! But, you know it is not easy being green!
Kermit the Frog had a song:
"It's not that easy being green
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold
Or something much more colorful like that"

And Miss Piggy loved him even though he is green.

Now then, I think that a boat ride would be a wonderful way to spend the day. When I move, can we meet? I would love to put a face with your wonderful words of encouragement.

Of course, you like green. It is about the only thing to go with (BIG SHUDDER) burnt orange.

I had forgotten the conveniences of being home. To find a place around here that serves vegan is impossible. You can get any kind of fried food, hamburgers, and enough Mexican food to sink the US Navy.

There is a Tuesday Morning there also, Ray and I would go into it about once a month just to see what they had stashed away. I actually got a good set of Waterford and a set of Spode dishes from there. My Christmas dishes came from there and a bunch of our holiday decorations. Home used to whisper my name and beckon me to come home, now it shouts with the urgency of impatience.

I have family up in Leesburg and some in Fairfax and a few in Culpepper. I am sure that they will all want to meet you so a get together is in the planning for Halloween. If you are up to it.

An appraisal and home inspection would be a priority. Has your cousin been to your place. If so, she has seen both and would be able to do some comparisons relative to size, neighborhood, etc. and whether their asking price is similar to your potential sale price? It may be a good idea. It does take one thing off your plate.

What do they consider winter? Geez, I only wore a truly heavy coat about ten times last year.

You realize you will be here for leaves. Some have fallen, but barely a perceptible change in color in my yard or neighborhood.
