I believe it's the RINOS that are getting kickbacks. Conservative rely on one's self. As far as history is concerned, mine is shaky at best, but yes I remember hearing about Democrats being the conservatives then but my knowledge on the subject ends there.

F.D.R. was elected 4 times each time by landslide. In 1952 I think it was, the conservatives passed a constitutional amendment limiting the president to 2 terms.
