I'm convinced there's more afoot than meets the eye. And as for who first started the one world government talk - read the book of Revelations. Definitely before Bush! World religion, world economy, world government. Its all there, and its exactly where a lot of folks, including our President, would like to take us.
I am aware of all of that in Revelation but there are way to many in this nation that have never heard of the book of Revelation and the end times. If they had maybe it would change their v**es, and their way of thinking, although I don't know whether they would or not. All of this is laid at the feet of the pastors in the various churches who are interested more in numbers of people and amount of the offering as compared to the message of Jesus Christ and the return of our Lord and Savior. They should be telling the people of sin and the way to salvation and let the Lord worry about the numbers.
Its my opinion that the Dems are much less serious about the debt issue for the simple reason they buy v**es with the newest and latest freebie.

Its my belief DD, that the GOP is only slightly less unserious than the Dems about dealing with the debt, and only because they need something to make them seem different than the Dems in order to win e******ns. The Dems are only partly to blame to blame for our debt problem. And when it comes down to it, we are pretty much all guilty as a nation for living beyond our means.

The reason we are in such a mess is that politicians keep saying we have the money, we have the assets, etc. Since when does any business large, or small operate like this and survive? If one checks the Bureau of the Public Debt it shows that the U.S. has had debt since its inception. The Civil War created big growth. U.S. debt passed $1 billion in 1863, and reached $2.7 billion following the war. Lehman Brothers went under with all their glorious assets, and money, as well as many others in history. The fallacy of, we can not go under is fundamentally ignorant. Saw on t.v. last night that the Chinese are trying to create a new yen to replace the U.S. Dollar on the world market. People who think were to big to fail, well they are just plain lost. Although it's likely none of us, our kids, and grandkids will see the collapse. But, that's my opinion.

Nah. I doubt it would change things much. CS Lewis wrote a book called "The Great Divorce". Its a little allegory about the ridiculous lengths we go to to hold on to the things that bring us down. It would be funny if it wasn't so serious.

Perhaps. I'm beginning to think that all career politicians are pretty much cut from the same cloth, though. Maybe I'm just being cynical.

Yeah, I wonder at times if they have a cash-hand-out happy hour over at the Treasury Dept.
"Intelligent-liberal"!? Is the ultimate oxymoron.

Nope. It's a 24/7 operation for them.

I heard today that they (liberals) have sharpened their sk**ls, and now are at a new level. They have graduated to now being as sharp as a ball bearing!!!

More like a 'weiner' ball.
