I believe so firmly in our First Amendment I have yet to attempt to restrict BoJester, Inyourface, Lou and others from their denigrating déclassé commentary. Fortunately for me, I have low blood pressure or there would be times I would be screaming, "MEDIC, defrib NOW." Life brings many vicissitudes. We, as Virginia women, endure with, hopefully, civility and dignity. :hunf:

I haven't tried to restrict those clowns in what they say unless they are busy name calling and other methods of denigrating other posters and then I call them out on their Alinsky methods. Here are some abbreviated Alinsky rules for radicals.

Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can k**l them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Now they are constantly using these things and nothing else. I have one of them and maybe all of them avoiding me but won't stop calling them out for what they are doing. I don't consider holding them up to others for their Alinsky like tactics as any kind of restricting their talk. Just exposing them is about the same thing they are trying.

Ginnyt I am surmised and disappointed in the link you posted, I took the time to listen to the original speech so as quotes were not out of context to mislead, you should try it, You really missed his point, which is to keep religion out of politics.

Out of context, Perhaps saying America is not a Christian nation was also taken out of context. Just thinking out loud.

That seems to be the opinion of my harshest critic. I admit that many of my posts have been rather long. He, my critic, asked me to ensure I have references for my inputs, even those based on observation and opinion. I do not always have that evidence, sometimes I travel a path that many do not want to go. Therefore, to eliminate any discomfort I am causing him, I plan to limit my input and make them as short as possible. I will, however read most of the input of others and look forward to seeing and hearing your thoughts and opinions.

I appreciate you, your comments to me and others, you are always clear and a joy to read.

Lol, unreal. Don't keep the secret but adhere at least to facts: I like your long posts, as do many others; stop playing the victim. Funny you say harsh when I was instead encouraging: filter? I never asked that you have references for your inputs: I wondered why you came down on people who did in two posts. The rest of your post is pure victim: "Therefore, to eliminate any discomfort I am causing him, I plan to limit my input and make them as short as possible." Please. I said, and repeat, I like your posts just as they are; you give fullness to your ideas.

I am totally clueless how you came up with the opposite of what I put in plain words, so again: I like the completeness of your thoughts that are in your posts. Don't change. And don't let yourself be so easily discouraged.

Though I am against h**e I am not necessarily against anger. It is a clear and concise humane emotion from which one can enhance their focus to the task at hand, as an arrow shot from its bow that lands its target. Anger is not bad; it’s how we chose to use that upheaval of energy that is the deciding factor of its benefits or destruction. Either way it is the stuff that can move mountains, if used constructively.
I relate to how Bo feels, some posts are imbecilic juvenile antagonistic insulting posts. He is willing to bring this topic to the surface, in order to expose it in an attempt for us to deal with it. I can handle anger, what I truly despise is complacency. When people sit back and allow things to unfold or t***spire, and then be outraged that they were a victim.

Well good for you sir! However, during my lifetime I have not found anger to resolve a situation, it only makes it worse. I am certainly not complacient, no way sir, I manage over 400 people, I am a problem solver, you cannot solve problems with anger.
For every minute you are angry you lose 60 seconds of happiness. As for Bo, if he like to be angry all the time, which I really doubt he is, then that is his perogative as well as yours.

I agree with you to a point.

Anger is a very normal emotion and can be beneficial. It can motivate people to take action, to shine a light on issues that are grossly ignored. However, it is what people do with that anger that is important. There were times when my staff would barge into my office with faces full of disgust and anger. After allowing them to vent for a few minutes, we talked about the thing that was truly bothering them. Sometimes they left with what they wanted, sometimes they left madder than when the came, but the vast majority of the time compromises were agreed upon. It is that middle ground that we should aim for, that does not mean that anyone gives up their freedoms or property for the sake of another.

True ginnyt ! This is exactly how I handle problems...by listenting to their side & letting them vent...not with me jumping up and down and being angry. I deal with a lot of people that are just ANGRY ALL THE TIME about anything and everything. Don't get me wrong, I also get angry, but I try to keep it to a minimum.

Thank you, I feel better now because of late some of the posters on this site has gotten my dander up! I had a few people that were angry most of the time, I found ways of inviting them to find other employment, simply because they were disruptive to the group.
