I have to say yes to that question but then so much that you can see in proof of what I think you can find in this article is not taught in schools these days. Of course, talking like that is offensive to atheists and Muslims so we have to allow that small minority of people to push us away from Christian teachings.

So many examples of the lie Barack Hussein Obama told the Muslims of the Middle East on his apology tour in 2009 when he said we weren't a Christian nation. Check out some of these t***hs about us as a nation.

First Amendment -Religion and Expression. Congress shall make no law RESPECTING an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,or abridging the freedom of speech,or of the press,or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The United States is clearly a secular nation.
Hello oldroy nice to meet you.

Hello oldroy nice to meet you.

Maybe you should read my link so as to have some idea where all that Christian stuff came from. I would be happy to argue with you about the points made there but refuse to argue about the 1st Amendment since all it says about religion is that Congress can't legislate any certain religion into the government or legislate according to the freedom of religion.

I am sure that you didn't read that link or surely you would have tried hard to display you unhappiness with some part of it. This is all I have to say about the subject till you indicate some knowledge about that. So far you have just indicated that as a left leaner you don't even know all the places in DC where you can find the words In God or Trust in God, and so many other things.

I don't like to jump in the middle of newbies but you didn't read that link so we can't discuss what it says.

If AMERICANS followed the bibles instructions we would all be living I. The dark ages still. Like the MUSLIMS. The further we get away from the bible the better off this country will be. And the world as well .

Actually I did read your link. The reason I quoted the 1st amendment was to show that it simply doesn't matter what we were before we became a nation. It only matters what we are as a nation, and as a nation we are an Secular nation that allows the free practice of any and all religions. We are not a Christian nation. Even though our population practices some of the many, many forms of Christianity.

Can you speak to how much better off we are these days than 50 years ago? I don't think we are advancing, at all, but those of the political left just can't see things the way I do. Nice shot, Jeff, but I will discuss with you about how much better we are or aren't but I have to argue that our early settlers were mostly Christian and we continued to get better and better till about 30 years ago when so many things started turning left and atheists and other left leaners started trying to drive us away from where we had come.

Over 50 years ago I was hearing that word secular that I hadn't heard a whole lot in college although we did discuss it in certain classes. I found that those trying to steer us farther left wanted to use secularism as an excuse for what they wanted.

Which of those things in my link did you not agree with and why not? I would gladly discuss them with you but when I see the 1st Amendment used against Christianity but not used for it I have to wonder what you want.

How about the civil rights movement.. It was primarily a southern problem.is it a coincidence that the south is famously the most religious region of our country and they were the most oppressive society in the country? The states that have the ,most churches are the on the bottom of scholastic achievement list nationwide. What do you attribute that to?

Founded on Christian faith, not a theocracy.

Thanks for getting in with those few words. You are so right but non-Christians have some problem with those thoughts.

I think that the people who were quoted in that link were talking about the nation, in general, since they all knew about that little part of the Constitution.

Do you not find that the b****s of this nation, especially those who didn't leave the South when they they could have, tend to be Christians? I believe that the words of rebob just above this post are so very right in that this has been a primarily Christian nation not a theocracy because that isn't allowed. You do know that about 80% of us claim to be Christians although many Muslims are talking about them outnumbering us soon, don't you?

The b****s are Christian because the white whipped and maimed those n****rs if they didn't praise the lord the proper way. Many native Americans met the same fate at the hands of the brutal missionary forces that invaded thier land and imprisoned them. It's just amazing how a thing as simple as whipping and dismemberment can put the right religion on a person.

WROOOONNNGGGGG!!!!!!! The exact opposite is true. S***es in many areas were forbidden to read the bible or worship the Christian God because they might discover the actual intent of the Christian founders: "all men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator............."

It's the reason black Gospel music is still so vital.............it's the heart and soul of an oppressed people crying to God for salvation and relief: God said, in the Bible, that "My strength is perfected in your weakness.......". People who already know everything have no need of spiritual wisdom or salvation............they already have their reward which is the emptiness of their isolated wisdom.
