That was me as a baby with our Wolf. My mother thought it was a husky at the dog pound and brought her home. She was highly intelligent, was a great friend and protector!

Dogs are awesome. I love them! Well. Most of them. You can keep the ankle biters. I remember a story about a little boy, who fell into a freezing river. His dog jumped right in and pulled him out, then started barking until the parents showed up. I'll bet every dog in those pictures would defend those children to the death too. Dogs really are awesome.
Dogs are awesome, love them. Thanks for the sweet pictures, El.

Wonderful photos of dogs and the children in their lives. However, may I remind you that it not a good idea to allow unsupervised contact between babies and dogs. Always keep an eye on the dog, and the child. Learn the dogs' body language and pay close attention to it all the time. Dogs and children are natural friends, but the dog has territory requirements. Most dogs do not want children to eat out of the dog dish along with the dog, nor do they want kids to steal their toys. Think and pay attention so there are no problems. Also realize that kids can hurt dogs by hitting them with the child's toys. A Tonka truck or a metal robot can hurt a dog badly.

NPP good points to remember. I have to tell a tail (tale) about a dog relatives had. He was a collie, named Rex, never been around a baby. My mother put me out in the yard, on a blanket, and she went back in the house. All of a sudden Rex began barking up a storm. Mother and Aunt came racing out to see what was the matter - I had rolled off of the blanket and he was letting them know.
You're worried about a Tonka truck. Dogs don't dogs don't drop bombs on people, dogs don't murder their unborn, dogs are completely faithful, all of the time. Given a choice between trusting a dog or a human; I'll trust the dog every time.

Actually dogs often k**l their puppies within the first week of the puppies life. Years ago I had a friend who had poodles. she had one b***h that bit the heads off her puppies when they were two days old. The bred her again, and she did the same thing. When they bred her the third time, they took the puppies away when they were whelped and put them on another b***h. they kept a b***h puppy out of the litter and when she had puppies, she bit their heads off too. Apparently it was genetic. not the dog's fault, but even if it were genetic, would you excuse a human mother who k**led her baby, as she couldn't help it, it was genetic. Not all dogs are faithful, some are aggressive, some are dangerous, but for the most part, I, too prefer dogs to most people.

Thanks, the picture with the Christmas tree is a piece of art. Would make the perfect Christmas card. And the little girl all dressed in white with the white dog is just about the most beautiful little girl I have ever seen. Thanks again.
