My husband and I are taking classes with the Center for Self Governance. Also, getting educated on what the real concerns are in our US of A and what we can do to stall this run-away-train.
I'm interested in learning what you all see going on and what you have learned that makes a difference. As well as any experiences you have had that are of concern or have been effective at dealing with politicians, etc.

Welcome Jewels1951. There is an abundance of information on this site. You just have to determine which is fact and which is fiction. There are plenty of opinions posted from the far right and the far left, so it can get a little hostile at times.
Wh**ever your stand is, try to keep an open mind. It is my opinion that if both sides mixed their opinions together they would find that their goals are the same. Good Luck!

Self-governance? Interesting...

I don't know how you & your Mister are bent but, I found the Bible to be a great source for that. As the residents of this great nation and the pinheads they elect to ummmmmmmm (govern us?), strive to remove God from our land more and more each day, I'm not sure if a stall is even possible any longer.

Welcome to you. There is something for everyone here. You name it, we got it. Left wing, Right wing, wing nuts, and a few pistachios. You will find the conversations here will run the gamut from erudite to 4th grade name-calling. Lots of people here feel strongly about issues, and tempers do flare. We have some thin-skinned folk who have stayed one or two days. There is a separate section for religious discussions, and for general chit chat. Those run their own gamut from atheism to fundamentalist to Buddhist, and general may be everything from happy birthday to dirty jokes to exchanging recipes. Have fun.
