In Islamic theology Allah says he is the great breaker of treaties and is greatest of the "Macharain", which means deceiver, liar, shyster, con or conniver. And Mohammed said that no honesty or integrity is due the infidel. Making a treaty, in Islamic theology, is a tactic in war meant to buy time & build up strength.

To begin with the first thing that should have been done, rather than loosening the sanctions, should have been to tighten them up and demand our four unjustly imprisoned Americans back before any negotiations even began --- as Trump or I, or any other American with wisdom and understanding would have done.
