5 Lib Lies about income e******y--
LIE 1 The rich keep getting richer - off the backs of the poor. Fact: Under Obama, everyone has lost ground. LIE 2 income ine******y is getting worse by the minute! Fact: Over the last 20 years, there's been no change -in ine******y among individual American income earners.
LIE 3The U.S. middle class is disappearing, k**led by the concentrated wealth of the evil super-rich. Fact: Over decades, the American middle class has "disappeared"... into the upper class. The share of families earning over $75,000 more than doubled (16.3 percent to 39.1 percent) from 1967-2009. That Upward mobility has now slowed - due to Obama, not the rich.
LIE 4 The poor in America have no chance - the deck is stacked against them. Fact- 70% OF U.S. population will spend at least 1 year in the top 20%, 53% will spend at least 1 year in the top 10%, 11.1% will spend at least one year in the top 1%.
LIE 5 The American dream is dead. Fact: The vast majority of Americans experience the blessings of liberty. An incredible 84 percent earn more than their parents did at the same age. In fact, most adults earn twice as much as those who raised them. Half who begin at the bottom move to a higher quintile within a decade, and their kids achieve even more - one out of eleven will make it to the top quintile.

..except for the poor, because someone has to be poor for someone to be rich

LIE 2--American capitalism hurts America's poor. Fact: Thanks to capitalism America's poor are wealthier than 70% of the world. All that "stuff" is great, until you get sick and then your Doctor sends you a bill and then you're really poor

LIE 3-- American capitalism hurts the world's poor. Fact: American free enterprise is lifting the world out of poverty.

But not our fellow Americans, yeh, that's why corporations are fleeing the US. Dirty little secret, we build cars in Mexico, because we pay people 2 dollars an hour.

Lie-4--under capitalism, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Fact: In countries with the most economic freedom capitalism - everyone is richer.

Accept the poor

LIE--5-- American capitalism runs on greed. Fact: Americans donate more out of their own resources to charity than do any other people on earth.

Thebigp. Excellent observations. I have an additional area of concern and that is education. Our younger generations have been dumbed down for decades, to the point where a four star general recently remarked that today's kids are to fat, frail and stupid to enter the armed services. If the kids are too stupid to get into the military, what makes us think they are not to stupid to get into a college? Far better to get many of these college degree wannabe's into a trade school so they can participate as sk**led craftsmen in today's world.

The great salvation is to be more college graduates. My question is why? Many companies have been firing older college graduates that were acknowledged exerts in their fields, apparently in an effort to lower manpower costs. I fail to see why a young person would want to go through the incredible costs of a college degree to get a position that may likely be lost due to cost considerations. Or be replaced by a foreign college graduate that is willing to work for far less money.

I believe the only remedy is to overhaul our primary education systems. Moochell is eager to revise dietary standards in schools, to the point that trash cans now are overflowing but nary a word about getting kids prepared for a lifetime to come. Math and spelling scores are dismal, history is completely ignoring our national greatness for such things as Marilyn Monroe and current, nonsensical topics. English and writing sk**ls, i.e., spelling and sentence construction are apparently ignored as evidenced by some of the contributors on this site. Just as the c*******ts planned many years ago. Our current serene highness will not make any changes; he's too busy swinging a golf club or planning his next million dollar vacation.

Until interested parents begin to monitor what their kids are taught, this scandal will continue. I believe the first thing to do is get rid of the Fed. Dept of Education and move the responsibilities back to the states, per amendment ten of our Constitution. We are raising a generation of ignoramuses.
