The typical household headed by a person 65 or older has a net worth 7 time greater than a household headed by a person under 35,according to an analyisis of cencus data.

You younger folks refer to us as senior citizens as old fogies, geezers and in some cases dinosaurs.some of us are "baby boomers"just getting ready to retire, while others of us have been retired for some time.We walk slower now and our hearing and eyesight"aint what it used to be".
We worked hard ,raised our children and worshiped God and we have grown old together.

We are the ones who you refer to as "over the hill"and that is certainly true.but before you write us off completely, here are some things you should know.
In school we studied history ,English, mathematics and sciencewhich enabled us to lead America into the technological age.
Most of us can remember out door toilets(outhouses"many with first hand experience. We remember telephones you had to dial ,and they were all on party lines, below 25 cents a gallon gasoline prices, and milk and ice delivered to our front doors.
And for those of you who don't know what an ice box is,today they are electric and are known as refrigerators. We remember when you hand cranked your car to start it.We lived those days. You call us old fashioned and out dated but remember this ,we fought and won ww2(that's world war two to you youngsters). We fought in Korea and in Viet Nam.
We can quote the pledge of allegiance and know where to place our hands while doing so.
We were in different.services and wore different uniforms
Army,Navy Air Force ,Coast guard ,Marines.
But we all fought under Old Glory
WE served our country with p***e and lost dear friends on the battlefield.
We didn't fight for the Socialist States of America,we fought for the home of the brave and the land of the free.
We all know the words of the Star Spangled Banner and you may see tears on our cheeks as we sing it.

We have lived--what you have only read in history books
(if the facts haven't been deleted yet).
We feel no obligation to apologize for America to any one or any nation.
Yes we are old and slow, but rest assured
we have one more good fight left in our old worn out bodies
.
We have loved this country ,fought and died for it,and now we are determined to save it.
America is our country and no one is going to take it away from us.
We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foriegn and domestic and that is an oath we will keep.
There are those who want to change America and destroy our way of living.
WE WILL NOT CONCEDE
IT was mostly the younger generation that elected our Denocratic Government. You fell for the "hope and change"hype, which in reality was nothing but hyperbole.
you have now tasted socialism.
Do you like it?Are you happy?
With all the education we gave you you didn't see through the s**m ,and instead just "drank the cool aid".
today we have very few real jobs(most jobs in the restaurant field and part time jobs),lost mortgages, higher taxes,a lot more national debt and many lost freedoms.

This is what you v**ed for and this is what you got.

Well don't worry.
The" over the hill gang" is coming back and In 2016 we are going to take back our country.
In 2016 we are going to the polls by the million.
This land belongs to "WE THE PEOPLE"and we are going to reclaim it.
We hope then that you will preserve it and pass it along to your children, grand children and great grand children
And the next time you have the chance to say the pledge of allegiance, stand up- put your hand over your heart and honor our country. Then you might
thank God for the "over the hill gang"

In 2016 you will feel the ground shake as we go to the polls.
Wont you join us to save America????

I thank God for the old geezers and I hope and pray some of the young whipper snappers will wake up and realize what's happening, and reclaim the country that's been turned over to socialists who'll rob them and k**l them.

I don't qualify as an old geezer yet, but I remember a lot of what you mentioned. I remember the rotary dial phones. I remember a time when there were no personal computers. I bought the first one that came out. I remember a time when children could walk around their neighborhood without fear. We just had to be home before it got dark. Things were not perfect back then, but they were a lot better than they are now. I remember a time when strangers used to say hello to each other. Now, people walk by and barely acknowledge your existence. A lot of things have changed, and not for the better.

God has blessed me beyond measure, I grew up in that wonderful time of 'we old geezers.' I may be older than dirt, but it's the rich midwestern loam that has been imbued with guts and determination. I'm proud of our f**g, grateful and extremely proud of our service members, I stand on God and country.

I grew up at a time when cars would pull to the side of the road to let a funeral procession pass, and you would wave to everyone you passed on the road. Now I am double blessed to live in an area where oncoming cars still pull over to let a funeral procession pass, and, on our country road, we wave as we pass each other.

My generations version of our republic was far from perfect, but, we never replaced the goal of "perfectabilty" with that of the lowest common denominator.

Mine didn't have a floppy disk. It stored everything on magnetic tape. I also remember those 56K modems and dial up connections. Don't miss them one bit.
