I'll take one Cheney and one George Bush and give you a thousand Obama's and I'll come out ahead every time. Take a stadium filled with our military. March out Obama and Biden. Then present Bush and Cheney and listen to the difference in applause. The GI knows who had their six and who they in turn respect. That's as good a barometer as one needs to make an informed decision.

Cheney sent our boys to Iraq for no other reason than to line his pockets and the pockets of halliburton. Bush demands 100K to speak on behalf of veterans that he had maimed in his stupid wars.

You may praise this dubious pair but fortunately America doesn't. In fact the GOP doesn't acknowledge that Brush was ever president.

The Military grunts were solid behind Ron Paul. They figured out the BS going on.
The MSM and RNC blocked Ron Paul.
OB and the War Mongering NeoCONs have made the Middle East mess worse. Never ending wars are the solution?

You're foolish. Today, in case you've forgotten, is 911. You people who blame Bush instead of radical Islam for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan are so bloody brainwashed you're beyond hope. Do you honestly believe we should have done nothing but pick our nose, pass gas and made obscene gestures at radical Islam after the many attacks against America until finally 911? Obama is certainly your type of president. Send us the link showing that Bush charged $100K to speak on behalf of veterans because I believe it to be just another l*****t lie. Bush does more for vets in retirement than Obama does as the president. Cheney divested his Halliburton interests prior to their contracts. The Democrats, eager to burn Cheney's ass, did everything they could do to crucify him and Bush over Halliburton. Their own investigation showed that Halliburton was the ONLY corporation in America currently capable of providing the necessary war material support for our troops. But, of course, t***h and the telling of it, is never an attribute of the left especially when it detracted from their lie.

Come on! You're smarter than that sort of remark. So far as casualties are concerned, Iran and Afghanistan were small compared to previous wars. Don't diminish the actions and sacrifices of our military to fight radical Islam and protect America by politicizing their deaths and disabilities.

Cheney's Halliburton Made $39.5 Billion on Iraq War

Wartime Profiteering
Meanwhile Dick Cheney's 2001 financial disclosure statement, states that the Halliburton is paying him a "deferred compensation" of up to $1million a year following his resignation as chief executive in 2000. At the time Cheney opted not to receive his severance package in a lump sum, but instead to have it paid to him over five years, possibly for tax reasons.

The company would not say how much the payments are. The obligatory disclosure statement filled by all top government officials says only that they are in the range of $100,000 and $1million. Nor is it clear how they are calculated.

Critics say that the apparent conflict of interest is deplorable. "The Bush-Cheney team have turned the United States into a family business," says Harvey Wasserman, author of The Last Energy War (Seven Stories Press, 2000). "That's why we haven't seen Cheney - he's cutting deals with his old buddies who gave him a multimillion-dollar golden handshake. Have they no grace, no shame, no common sense? Why don't they just have Enron run America? Or have Zapata Petroleum (George W. Bush's failed oil-exploration venture) build a pipeline across Afghanistan?"

Profiteering on a continual basis.

In the five years he worked at the company, he received $12.5m in salary. He also held $39m-worth of stock options when he quit the company in 2000 – a fortune for a man with no previous experience in running a multinational company. In addition, Halliburton’s board of directors v**ed to award him early retirement when he quit his job, even though he was too young to qualify under his contract. That flexibility enabled him to leave with a retirement package, including stock and options, worth millions more than if he had simply resigned. Plus, Halliburton paid out Cheney an extra $1m during the time he served as vice-president.
Cheney cashed in his remaining stock options gradually, starting with selling 100,000 Halliburton shares in May 2000, for an immediate profit of $3m. In 2005, Cheney exercised most of what remained of his Halliburton stock options for a $6.9m profit, all of which he donated to charity. (Most of it was donated to the Richard B Cheney Cardiac Institute at George Washington University.)

And we're all waiting for the day when -- like Rumanian president Ceaucescu -- Obama is marched out with his wife, stood against a wall and shot down by firing squad for his crimes and arrogance against the American people!
