I'm Michael,

born and grew up in West Virginia. And I was doing real good, in the world, that is. I was going to WVU, taking a dual major in aerospace & mechanical engineering. I thought this was pretty easy stuff, and I didn't even realize that everybody didn't feel the same way. Northrup Grumman came and offered me a job. When I asked what something like this pays, they told me 1.1 million a year. And here I am, second year undergraduate. They told me I had to show them my diploma before I can start.

In a couple weeks, I died. Fell off my balcony onto my skull, on a concrete step. They revived me at the hospital and I was only in a comma for 2.5 months. That was in 1997. I've been a born again christian since then, and got to realize how wrong I was looking at things. And how, if that catastrophe had not happened that summer. I would be in Texas, at La Palominos air base, and be so lost I could not be helpped.
