On another thread the argument goes that a lowering unemployment rate is meaningless. It's the labor participation rate that's important And since that is at record levels, it only stands to reason that a 'deadbeat rate' would go up, no?
That's your voodoo economics: trying to have it both ways.
The unemployment rate based on government statistics IS meaningless. When a person runs out of unemployment benefits they are no longer counted as unemployed even though they don't have a job. It's all a s**m to make an administration look better. Both parties play the game.
