So far on this particular thread all you have done is jousted with Bo Jester , but on several other threads your statements are lock-step -teabag talking points and rhetoric.

Here's a quick one bmac32 , in response to a statement on gun control , you said :

It's not about guns, it's about control, from birth to death.

That's classic teabag fear mongering B.S.

Lock-step with no one party. Was a democrat for 15 years or so but the party left me behind in their power grab. Then I got to thinking about some friends who are black and we started talking about what the democratic party has really done for them lately, not much. Special intrests maybe but not much for the regular working stiff.

As for a Tea Party member, no, I have gone to two, listened with an open mind and I agree with some while I disagree with other statements.

The thread you opened "where's Detroit " ...you open with a good statement , but then descend into the teabag blaming game . You say GM abandoned buildings , and you blame that on Democrats ??? Really ? And YOU claim to be a Detroit native ?

And there it is ! You're not even aware of it are ya ? What makes you believe I want government to "control my life " ?

No guns don't k**l , THE WRONG PEOPLE WITH GUNS DO .
Universal background checks are not a desire to have the government control my life .As I stated before on another thread the NRA itself called for that a few years back until the teabaggers attached that to their arch enemy Obama and the NRA out of pure teabag politics did a 180 .

Well whom was in charge of the city, Lou? So who cleans up the mess that several auto makers just walked away from. I know we'll blame that on China.

To coin a phrase, 'there you go again' as I hinted at, the Tea Party has some good ideas as well as bad just like all parties.

Are you saying that a mayor of Detroit no matter Rep.or Dem. had control over GM moving out ?
Did the Mayors have anything to do with the failure of the automakers to react to market demands for smaller more fuel efficient cars ? Was it the mayors that set trade policy where Japan subsidized it auto industry and was allowed to compete in the US market with an unfair advantage .Many like to blame the Unions , but in reality the Japanese workers while getting a lower wage , were subsidized in their housing , and several areas afforded them as workers , that did not come directly from the automakers themselves but from the government .

Do you really spend a lot of time reading from the Tea Party or do you just read what their left leaning opponents say about them? I get lots of messages from various Tea Party groups on e-mail but wonder if they would send you anything, at all.

How about quality of the 70's and 80's? GM leave a plant to move to say Ohio, who's job is it take the building down? Not thinking it's the cities but anyway there were allowed to leave and leave their trash behind. There are still Packard and Nash plants there, how many years ago was that?

I read'em all old roy , I read'em all . In fact I dare say I read more of Tea party babble than you , because you no doubt do not investigate their sources . And I don't go by what anyone "says about anyone " , rather I investigate what each says to determine their veracity .

Need to remember Lou that there are a dozen set ups and they aren't the same. Like one in Ohio or IN (not sure which) but I'm like WHAT, sounded like left field to me.

You know that you don't read 'em all, at all. You may read one now and then but not all of them. You wouldn't have time to read Media Matters, Stink Prog and the like if you did that.
