With U.S. warships looming offshore, reports of chemical weapons and saber-rattling from Iran about the coming of Armageddon, the nation of Syria and its capital, Damascus, are at the epicenter of what some suggest may become a prophesied battle of biblical proportions.

“Many students of the Word of God see a major alignment of ancient prophecies regarding the end times being fulfilled right before our eyes." Effectively Defending the Christian Faith.” “More importantly, we are the first generation in history to see such dramatic and striking alignments.”

WallStreetDaily.com/Free-Report Coming Economic Collapse.
WealthDaily.com/Economic_CollapseGallups points to the biblical passage of Psalm 83 – which tells of the nations surrounding Israel conspiring against it – and especially to Isaiah 17, which tells of a day when Damascus, often cited as the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, will be utterly destroyed.

“Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap,” states the ancient prophet Isaiah. “The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.”

“I also want to note,” adds author of “The 9/11 Prophecy,” James F. Fitzgerald, “that the prophecy of the destruction of Damascus in Isaiah 17 is directly connected in its context to the fall of Ephraim and the Northern Kingdom of Israel as Isaiah previously warned in chapter 9:10. That is the same prophecy messianic rabbi Jonathan Cahn has written about in ‘The Harbinger’ and in ‘The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment’ documentary, where he’s applied the specific pattern of judgment there to the remarkable events that have t***spired here in America after 9/11.” If you have not read the" Harbinger" it has so many t***hs and t***hs from God as He uses Jonathan to speek on this. I have read it two times now and I get something new eachtime I have read this book

Certainly, Damascus has become the center of international attention and fears of war.

As reported, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has publicly made the case for an American strike on Syria over the nation’s alleged use of chemical weapons on rebel forces among its own people, even as U.S. warships loom offshore.

Meanwhile, Syria ally Iran has threatened to launch “thousands of missiles” on Israel if President Obama follows through on the proposed attack, and Iran’s politicians have claimed the conflict could prompt “the end of times and the coming of the last Islamic messiah,” including an Armageddon-like battle for worldwide Islamic governance.

The result is an international powder keg that could easily explode beyond Syria’s borders, and President Obama is holding the match.

“The ancient Hebrew prophecy contained in Isaiah 17 is presently poised to find final fulfillment, and it could easily be provoked by a poorly calculated political move by America,” claims Bill Salus, author of “Psalm 83: The Missing Prophecy Revealed.” “Current contemplations of the Obama administration to strategically strike Syria to punish the Assad regime for using chemical weapons on his Syrian countrymen could be the spark that sets the entire Mideast ablaze. President Assad has threatened to attack Tel Aviv on several occasions during the Syrian revolution, and his latest threats have prompted Israelis to scramble for gas masks.

“In tandem a prophecy in Psalm 83 predicts that a climactic concluding Arab-Israeli war is coming, and Syria and Israel are listed among the participants,It is reasonable to presume that we are living in the days of Isaiah 17 and Psalm 83, and that a single U.S. missile landing anywhere in Syria could provoke the ‘Mother of All Mideast Wars’ that is predicted in the Scriptures.

“We have no vital national interest to be served in Syria by involving ourselves in their civil war, except to see that Syria doesn’t fall into the hands of al-Qaida and the radical.
Christians should know you can't stop bible prophecy, God has his own time table and it's now revealing it self right before our eyes. Praise God and pray for America's protection.

Pray instead for America to repent of her many sins and return to the God of Abraham and receive the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

The world may or may not follow prophecy, but it sure follows the normal regime rise and fall.
America has been in the last phase for a long time- The “conflict resolution” phase. This is where a country is safe, secure and now must deal with its population and its diverse wants and needs.
We dealt with the poor by taking from the middle class. As the less privileged cried foul the government gave them more. This caused the domino effect—less for the middle class. At some point the middle class always realizes it is being screwed and wakes up. Don’t think for a second the elite at the top will give up anything for the underprivileged.
When this occurs throughout history there is ALWAYS a revolution. It will happen. The question is not if, but when. Will it be a bloody, violent one or a more subtle? This is called Political Science people. The government understands this. Don’t think so? It is why the government is buying up all the ammunition. Homeland security does not need 1.3 Billion rounds ( more than ALL the rounds fired in both Iraq and Afghanistan) Fear produces hording! Fear of armed citizens produce repeated tries to k**l the 2nd amendment. The founding fathers understood Political Science even if it did not have a name then and history. They knew at some point the citizens of this country may have to take down a tyrannical government. They also knew armed citizens kept a government from becoming tyrannical.
Through out history when citizens were disarmed it was the pre cursor to government telling citizens what they could and could not do, not the people telling the government its powers.
I am not a crazy person, but I do study history. If you wish the citations that back this thought process send me a request and I will gladly send you many peer reviewed Political Science articles and studies to back this.
I know probably in my life time I will see another American revolution. That is a fact. What kind is the only question.

Nice reply it fits in with what most of us here fear. Like most of us here we fear for our children and grandchildren and like you don't know what form of revolution will take place. Weelcome aboard and I look forward to many more posts from you.

timmh67,
Political Science is just that a science, yes it is a "social" science and not a "hard" science like math and physics.

to me the difference between it and Christian science is any religion is a lot of faith.
To me science and religion are very different. Political science is always looking for causes and effects, religion ( all religions) ask you to take most of it on faith. Science wants things you can test.
Here is an example of "faith" In Vietnam many times a solder that had been severely wounded was in major pain and awake. Shock is always a factor in death from wounds.
Morphine can be counterproductive at times and was in short supply in the field. We used to shoot saline solution in the wounded solders IV and tell them it was Morphine.
Most times they quieted right down and actually felt less pain--that is faith!

The only interest we should have in the Syrian civil war, is the protection of our own interest. If there are none , stay away.
Should we punish Assad for using chemical weapons ? Yes, but we should do it with stealth and secrecy. Dropping bombs and making confusion will only do just that. If one day he is no more, that I believe will send chills up and down other despots who think they will get a way with nasty doings. Keep them looking over their shoulder.

I hear what you are saying here but I would like to bring up one point if I may. On Christian Science "the religion" I am not well versed aside from what commentaries I may have read or heard say on TV.

On political science if I am not mistaking it is more in line with a regular science whereby you can take facts and string them together say on a civilization or a government form and come up with some conclusions based on history.

We know history repeats itself by studying history. We can see things throughout history where nations have gone through several changes in their time on earth and that they all went through a series of events or changes that eventually brought about their demise.

As I see it by looking at history of nations and their governments and comparing them to America one can draw a parallel and say we are here on a graph and this is what will happen next do to history.

So if nothing changes a revolution will occur and whether it will be violent as in the civil war or somehow subversive and I don't have at this time a similar type i**********n there will be revolution.

That is the scary part of history and whether one individual can change it for the positive and circumvent a revolution is up in the air and we will have to wait and see which way it goes.

I will say this though that the number of patriotic people in the United States should not be underestimated by anyone trying to destroy us or they will be in for one big surprise.

Now whether the government through homeland security and other departments could effectively reprogram American Citizens to fire in their friends and family I don't know what it would take as far as some kind of mind control to do that. The scary part is Hitler was able to pull it off and so we would be blind to ignore the possibility.

I read the harbinger as well. America has fallen into judgement. Our only saving grace would be repentance. God would not have destroyed Sodom if He would have found 5 righteous people. Judah had fallen into judgement as well. But King Josiah was a righteous king. As long as he was king, God withheld judgement. We need repentance in a very bad way.

Is America at her End? Pretty much, for a few generations at least. You might want to read: Luke 13:6-9.
