"...on earth a it is heaven."

Whatever your ideas of heaven, this is how we are to live on earth. If not, we never knew Jesus and we have no salvation. Love and joy are the sole credentials of a Christian.

How do we defend the borders of heaven? What is the weapon of choice to repel "gate-crashers"? What is the hierarchy of belief to secure the best "mansions"?

Worldliness: enmity against God. Prosperity Gospel a perfect example of hatred AGAINST THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

We are aliens in any land--literally. We are foreigners in any land--literally. We are citizens of heaven--literally. Being ambassadors of heaven, we are loyal to and serve only one kingdom.

Let us start by stop spewing fourth so much controversy that makes God, the Bible, and Christians look so vile.

I never make God look bad...unless I claim that he made me.
As to the Bible, it is not inerrant; a ludicrous claim.
I am not making Christians look so vile; they do that far better then I could. Primary example: Franklyn Graham.

Wherever God is, that's where Heaven is. Credentials are being on the good side of Christ and no one get to heaven by through Christ. In Matt 5:1 are the people that Christ blesses. The mansions in John 14:2 are meno #3306 in the Greek and it's a place of thine own, to abide, continue, dwell, endure, remain, to be present, to tarry. Not a real mansion. Leaders of the church will say that we will be resting, I don't think so we will be working in heaven, not having grapes put in our mouth by angels. The gate is monitored by Christ and He knows his sheep and His sheep know Him. In Matt 22:11 after we are invited to the wedding people like us will be there, and some will not have the garment, works without faith is dead and faith withou works is dead also. That's what our garments will be made out of, your good works. A friend of the world is an enemy of God.

For you it is controversy, for me it is Gospel. This is not to say I am right, but only how I see the truth. If disagreement with how I see truth form how you see truth is "spewing forth so much controversy" sorry.

I ask your forgiveness for any rude remarks I have made to you. However, I must say I do not agree with most if not all of the methods you use to espouse your faith.

As with the case of your "Uncle", It will be best not even reading your post. That way, I will not fall into temptation to respond. It would appear that many are taking the same position as I, because there are many of your threads that have little or no response.

I love you in Christ, but my human nature has a very difficult battle in seeking to understand your beliefs. How can you stand so strongly on the words of Jesus and say the Bible is not inspired and contains error?
Prov. 27:6

I never said the Bible was not inspired; I said it is obviously not inerrant. A little study with an open mind would reveal that fact. The Bible is not the final authority: Christ is! You want to tell Paul he should have read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John first before opening his mouth? And what Bible did Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John read to speak as they did? How could the Bible have been written if one needed the Bible for "final authority"?

Jesus quoted from the OT around 80 times. The four he quoted most were Exodus (quoted 7 times), Deuteronomy (see His temptation in the wilderness, 10 quotes), Isaiah (8 quotes), and Psalms (11 quotes). Of course, He quoted from many others, including referencing every book of the Pentateuch, plus several of the prophets. He also read passages from the Old Testament while He taught in the synagogues--a scroll of Isaiah, for example. Jesus was the greatest Old Testament scholar of all time.

In addition, the authors of the four Gospels quoted many OT passages, Jesus' Disciples quoted from the OT, and Paul was quite profuse in quoting from the OT. James and Peter also quoted passages. And John again in the book of Revelation. The overall list of references to Old Testament passages appearing in the New Testament is quite long. Moreover, the Dead Sea scrolls, dating back two and a half centuries before Christ brought the authenticity of the Old Testament to a whole new level.

Obviously, Jesus, His Disciples, Paul, and other notable followers were far more intimate with the Old Testament than many Christians are today.

It is unfortunate that someone professing a love of Jesus could be so ignorant of the Word of God.

Ye va re khe kha Adonai,
Ve yish me re Kha,
Ya ier Adonai,
pa nav eley kha,
vi chun ne ka,
yis sa Adonai,
pa nav eley kha,
ve ya seim le kha,
Shalom.
