This Week in Progressive Lunacy: Calling Your Daughter Princess Supports Rape Culture

Dotingng parents who refer to their little girls (or boys, for that matter) as "Princess" are on notice now that by doing so, they are contributing to "rape culture."

If you're blissfully unfamiliar with the term rape culture, you might reasonably assume that it refers to a culture in which women are stoned to death for being accused - usually falsely - of adultery; in which women are not allowed to drive or be in the presence of an unrelated male; in which women are routinely beaten to keep them in line; in which young women are murdered by their own male relatives for bringing shame upon the family for some t***sgression as serious as making a cell phone call to a boy.

But no. America, according to feminists, is the rape culture, where women are kept under the thumb of the patriarchy blah blah blah.

And according to feminist Elizabeth Broadbent, writing at yourtango.com, many parents of little girls are unwittingly supporting the patriarchy and perpetuating the sexual s***ery of women when they call their daughters "Princess":

"Princesses are passive, dependent on the men around them to make decisions, and used sexually in ways they don’t choose. It’s basically rape culture."

We don't have a rape culture. We don't teach our sons to rape. We have a culture in which rape is considered a heinous crime and men are sent to prison for it, sometimes wrongly. We do, however, have a culture in which women revel in so much sexual freedom that their latest crusade is "Free the nipple," in which they demand the right to go topless with the same freedom as men.

Perhaps if Elizabeth Broadbent wants to prevent America from becoming a rape culture, she should turn her attention toward preventing her fellow feminists from degrading women, embracing pornography, and trashing femininity even more than they already have. Meanwhile, if she can't find a more serious target for her accusations of sexism than doting moms; if she seriously believes America is a rape culture, then she needs to read up on - to name just one example - what's happening to Yazidi women ens***ed by the animals of ISIS.

The false rape cases at Duke University and the University of Virginia should but won't, teach stupid people not to short circuit due process.

Progressive Liberals will stop at nothing to get what they want. They will commit any crime, then claim that they are righteous, because it is for a good cause. They are sick!

The left in America uses lynch mob tactics. Ferguson comes to mind. So does Occupy Wall Street. That our jugheaded President and his former hatchet man Holder embraced these mobs is a disgrace.

The memory of these tactics must be preserved so that future generations can be taught that Barry the First, our first Black President was not this great leader the left will try to write into history.

Grugore,

Reading your starting post.. I was going to ask where you managed to find such a nut case as that woman..Her drivel is beyond stupid... Every little girl loves being a princess...
They are far from helpless and sitting around waiting for help.. at least the princesses in my house...

But then you added the last two paragraphs..

They serve to put the blame for rape on the shoulders of women..

I do think that women may be foolish in the way the dress and act.. Then be amazed when they are accosted..

Never the less.. the blame for the rape is always on the perp and not the victim..

While the blame should always be on the perp, there are many women who put themselves in the position to be raped. Ever been to a frat party? Enough said.

What a crock of sh*t. Raise a girl to be a girl. I call mine "Baby" sorry that's just what I do. She can still climb a tree throw a ball and run like you would not believe. She loves her doll and that's alright she is a girl. I love her more than anything and she knows she can count on me. Rape? I don't think so. I'll be enrolling her in Karate. Her older cousin was a black belt at age 10. Nobody messes with her. Girls can be tough too.
