I was born in LA, and I had to move to Florida to live under some sanity.

You better be storing some drinking water.

Somebody on the radio I believe it was Mr. Liddy told the following story about J. Edgar Hoover. An FBI agent was walking past a bank on his lunch hour when he stumbled on a robbery. He drew his gun on the robber and ordered him to drop his gun and surrender.

The robber pointed his gun at the agent and the agent was forced to shoot the man. The robber was seriously wounded but went to the hospital and survived.

The FBI agent's superiors put him in for a commendation for foiling the robbery. When the paperwork reached Hoover's desk he rejected it. Hoover sent out a memo asking the question of what is wrong with our firearms training?

J. Edgar Hoover was upset that the agent's bullets did not k**l the robber.

Oakland is correct, I was born there 1943, raised in the East Bay Area Oakland, Hayward & Fremont...

Raised my kids there too...

Got sober in '78, moved to Sacramento, then to AZ in '85 mother died had stuff to do...

Anyway, sold or managed car dealerships for 30 years got pissed at 50, went to Cabo to learn Timeshares, did that for the next 15 years, all over the Western US & Mazatlan...

Heart gave out 2 years ago, open heart 5 bypass's my son did 20 in the Navy was working here and so I moved in with him... Lifes a b***h unless you're me, I've had a ball... ;)

He is a good sheriff. I once met him in Lakeland, the County seat of Polk County, while visiting family there.
