What weight class? I was a state placer myself and wrestled in college. Wrestling was definitely not the city boys sport back then.

I was glad to do the work I did. When the other guys went to school with a Quarter in their pockets I would have a $5.00 bill. It made me strong and I was a letterman wrestler. I loved whipping those rich city kids right in front of their parents. At home I chopped wood fed chickens and slopped hogs. I still had time for hunting. With 7 younger brothers and sisters it was important for me to be a good shot. I bought my own ammo and had quite a gun collection. All paid for by my farm labor.

How can you be a Liberal if you paid for stuff with your own money?

`I was small started out in the 87 lb weight class and usually wrestled a couple weight classes above me. My senior year I was 102 lb weight class and stood 5' 1" When I went into the service I started growing. I was amazed at how much food there was and that I could drink all the milk I wanted. I am 5'9" now and 220lbs. Time changes things.

Wow what a growth spurt. Now I'm short for my weight. Weighed 148 senior year and wrestled 119. Cutting wgt. sucked. Coached for about 10 years and never let any buddy cut weight like we used to. I always thought wrestling was a great sport to teach self-discipline and personal responsibility.

I am a Liberal in the original sense of the word. So are you. Check out John Locke, the "father" of Liberalism, and his definition of Liberal and Conservative. The current definitions did not start being applied until about 50 years ago. This change began even earlier, in the early 20th century, with the rise of various C*******t and Marxist type political movements in this country.

AS far as being liberal I believe in personal freedom.Things like chooseing where you live what kind of work you do and who you v**e for. I believe in our constitution and never want to see one thing changed. I am dismayed that we now have to use a passport to travel to Canada and Mexico because I believe a person should be able to go any where they want to. People want to smoke pot and I'm ok with legalization. It doesn't cause any where near the traffic accidents and social or health problems like alcohol which can be as bad as heroin. I believe in reasonable enviornmental rules and I believe people and buisnesses should follow them. Take care of the land and you'll always have food and a place to live. Things that bother me is lack of support for schools and police protection also job creation. Coos county is turning into a retirement destination for people from other states . They had their good jobs and they have the money for fine homes here. These same people try to take over our county commissioners and city councils. They protest every single industry that wants to locate here. They v**e down every single school levy but they'll approve a multi million dollar boardwalk along the bay with inadequate parking so nobody uses it. Mean while the city says there is no money for maintaining the streets that everybody uses. Shows what kind of damage can be done by moneyed people who are by and large Republicans. At least that's how it is working here.

Our coaches believed not only in personal responsibility they pushed us on to being tough and it prepared us for the world. It was odd the way I grew. 5'1" and 102 lbs at age 18 and I kept growing till I was 30. I never had to shave until I was 25 guess I was a slow bloomer. My brothers son was quite the opposite. He weighed 100 lbs in the first grade and now he is a 6'9" 250 pounder. he has worked hard since he was 10 years old. My brother had him driving a gravel truck when he was 12. He told his son just sit tall and he never was pulled over.

Yep he's a pretty good little bull. He drives tow truck now on a busy stretch of I-80 on the Columbia river.
