It doesn't matter what percentage of the American people don't want to be involved with Syria. Since our politicians don't listen to us, and they stand to make big bucks, we'll be involved anyway.

I thought the actual reason we would get involved in the Syria Conflict is that we are Al-Qada's military.

For example, Turkey boarders the nation of Syria. Turkey has compounds or training camps set up, which are used to train Syrian terrorist (we call them rebels). We also have similar camps in Jordan. Syrian terrorist are trained by the CIA/Special Forces to fight the Syrian government. The Syrian terrorist are also given weapons by the US, usually through another foreign nation like Saudia Arabia, Turkey, Jordan, & Libya (which is done by the port at B******i). And Al Nussar (Iraqi Al-Qada) was caught on Turkey boarder town with Sarin gas.

ANY and further involvement in Syria is lose/lose for America! Obama does not have to respond with our armed forces-he said if the 'line is crossed' he would have to 'do something'-he did not say what! So what should he do? How about talk to the rest of the world-ask them to decide what to do collectively (oh-isn't that what the UN is supposed to do?-hmmmm). If a unified course of action is/can be agreed on--then maybe the world and innocent Syrians will benefit? America cannot and must not go it alone. The 'world' must do and accept their 'fair share'-as in money, blood and future consequences. Oh-wait England already said 'no way'. Hmmmm-is this deja vue-all over again? So just exactly who has 'stepped up to the plate'?-NOBODY!!-The United States should do the same-not only get out of any current 'entanglements'-(like we are supplying arms to the 'rebels'-say what?-isn't that-aren't they Al Quida-Qyda-Qeyeda wh**ever?) and stay out of Syria's CIVIL war! Oh-yea and Iraq and Afghanistan and wherever-make the 'boys' safe by bringing them home-America's shores ARE NOT THREATENED!

ANY and further involvement in Syria is lose/lose ... (show quote)

yes we need to stay out of and away from Syria , I do not see what would be gained by attacking Syria , neither side is our friend so let them settle their own hash

What did Obama mean when he said he could attack them tomorrow, next week or a month from now. I think he tried to set it up so he could go along with Congress if they don't give him their approval and then he can say he wanted to get them for crossing his red line but Congress wouldn't let him.

I think that I Won tried very hard to set things up so he could back out of an attack in today's speech. I think he has learned that it was terrorists who used that gas and has to be able to make it look like he backed out for that reason. Maybe somebody told him what you said, too.

actually I been thinking along these lines every since obozo got in office but have slightly altered the sequence since Syria got involved I had expected Iran to start it off by attacking Israel

Also. by attacking Syria, it will make people forget about the various scandals on the home front.

I don't think he plans to make an attempt at Syria any longer because he sees that although the four leaders of the Congress are willing to go along with him there are a lot of people in the HOuse who aren't going along. He has decided that he can't take a chance of going without Congressional approval but I am sure he doesn't want any debate in either house about going or staying away. He blew that one all by himself with his red line in the sand.

I doubt very serious that America will go to war with Syria. First American troop that bites the dust on Syrian soil and America's Mothers/women will be all over Kerry, making ole Shehan look like a saint. Obama made a tough, Cool sounding statement regarding Syria a while back, but won't back it up. His way out of it will be Congress.
