This is where the subtlety possible with an open and objective mind can come in useful. For Finney to admit that there were actual c*******ts in government (and that in itself needs an historical perspective) would mean, to her, that the radio host would win the argument. She obviously felt she had to fudge a bit, then when cornered, had to hang up.

That there were C*******ts back then is true, but that does not mean the cries and accusations today about c*******ts are true; a subtle point that would be lost on many. People like Backman and West making unfounded accusations is fear-mongering. It plays to the base and is an ugliness that is destroying our country.

Many social ills and injustices that were going unaddressed in America through the democratic process, such as corporate labor practices and segregation, were being addressed by c*******ts. These were things that needed to be rectified according to American ideals of justice and e******y but the governmet was slow to act. These issues were then branded as part of the c*******t philosophy and anyone advancing those necessary changes were labeled C****es. Being able to make distinctions on such fine points is not always easy and in times of turmoil such as now, emotions tend to overlook such distinctions.

I listened to that one a while ago and found that the crazy woman from MSNBC was the loser. She knew damned good and well that there were many C*******ts in our government in the McCarthy days and had to avoid questions that would point out her knowledge about that. She lost, badly, and leaners just don't want to admit it.

Read "Barack Obama and the Enemies Within" by Trevor Loudin. He presents a pretty compelling case, with a lot of evidence. The Saul Alinsky "progressives" are nothing more that c*******ts. So, you can laugh and pooh pooh it if you wish, it just exposes your naivety.

And do you believe all progressives are in some sort of conspiracy and Alinskyites? My naivete raises your seeming paranoia. I have seen "a lot of evidence" here, which usually t***slates into "the t***h I am telling you will be debunked or suppressed by the socialist controlled media and factchecking sights. The NWO is everywhere, controlling all facets of government and all institutions."

I will be back with some interesting reading for you. Hope you are a t***h-seeker. Or at least interested in considering other perspectives.

Rumi, I read with great interest the links you provided. I read with a open mind attempting to see what you saw. I could go into a dissertation on each point raised by the authors but to make a very long story short it was, in my opinion, a effort to rewrite history by left leaners. Interesting point in the first link in summary is; they asked you to believe them when they stated they understood the founding fathers thoughts by explaining what they, the founding fathers, did not include. The fact that they did not include specific ideas in their dialogue meant to not include it, not as the article implies that by leaving it out they meant to include it. Confusing isn't it. The second link follows the same logic to a point but with select implications for the different Presidents. Bottom line again, the reason for the establishment of the Libraries, National Parks, Interstate system, or wh**ever was not for the socialist reasons described but for various other reasons. The parks created by Teddy Roosevelt was because he loved the outdoors, Safari's, etc. and he wanted to leave a legacy; the idea of the interstate system by Eisenhower was spawned by the Audubon in Germany and originally created to expedite the movement of Military in the U.S.. We had just finished a war remember. With what I have said in mind, review the links and let me know what you think.

Libraries are government funded programs for the welfare of its citizens. Hoover Dam and the interstate highway system are government funded programs for the welfare of its citizens. Fire deparrtments are government funded programs for the welfare of its citizens. What is food stamps? A government funded program for the welfare of its citizens.

I read them, but I don't agree with either of them. Just socialists distorting history.

When did Bachmann and West make 'unfounded accusations'? And what were they? Inquiring minds want to know.
