Pentecostal Snake Handler Bitten...Dies...

A Pentecostal snake handler was bitten last Sunday where he refused treatment insisting that his lord would care for him--which he did by rendering him dead as a doornail. The moral of course is don't ask for it unless you are ready to receive it. This only goes to show how ridiculous some religions can be, and those who participate in them--and I really don't know which is worse--the religion or those who play in them. Anyway, the good thing is that there is one less nut case to worry about but the really good news is that his sons and grandsons get his lot of deadly snakes where they have promised to carry on the family tradition insuring fewer religious nuts in the future. I assume that tradition is being bitten by deadly snakes, refusing care, and promptly dying thereafter...good lord...

And sounds to me you should be buying a "move to moscow" guide for packing up and getting shipped out of the USA.
It should not make any difference to you what anyone that may or may not be a "Christian" does or does not read. Just as it makes no difference to a Christian or non Christian what you as a c*******t desires to read.

We have a snake handler church around here and that happens every two or three years. As I have commented before. My God told me that He gave me a brain and that the brain said, don't handle poisonous snakes, they could k**l you. Of course, from what I have heard the snakes are generally "milked" before services. guess they forgot this time.

You do know that milking a poisonous snake means forcing the venom out of the fangs into a container, don't you? the venom can be collected to make products designed to keep people from dying from being bitten. Anti-venoms are very effective but need to be given shortly after the bite.

People have an amazing tendency to pick out a verse or two that sounds good to them and build an entire ideology on it. This is nothing new, of course.
Jesus, when he said "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God" was actually quoting Old Testament scripture to Satan, who at the time was urging Jesus to throw himself off the highest point of the Temple to prove He was God's Son...this is why I have never jumped out of an airplane! :lol:
