so far in the short time i have had to explore this site it looks as if andrew is one of my new " heroes" you go andrew. it looks like you read a lot. i only have one thing to say at this time. simple math that no one ever seems to bring up. every one agrees that 1% to 2% of the population hold 90% of the wealth but "some" people get upset because they are paying 35% to 40% of the taxes. i guess it makes more sense for the rest of us who have 10% of the wealth to pay 60% of the taxes? i don't know about you but my heart is breaking for that top 2%. the only ones who have gained during this recession::

Interesting assertions, where are your citations?

Where are your key definitions? Did you use the same definition for "wealth" throughout your article? Is this group holding 90% of the "wealth" stagnant or in constant fluctuations as some people leave and new people arrive? If it is in a state of fluctuation, then your assertion "they are the only ones who have gained during this recession" is false. The people entering that group have gained, those leaving that group have lost. Those entering that group are leaving the "rest of us" and those leaving that group are joining the "rest of us."

Does simple math apply to the situation?
