Wouldn't it make sense to build the ark with the same materials and construction methods from Noah's era?...wouldn't that at least be a good scientific approach to answering the question as to sea worthiness and the storage capacity issues that would have existed? Instead they are building a modern building that incorporates the latest in technology, building materials to prove nothing.

Well, we know the first ark worked just fine or we wouldn't be here. I don't know how easy or expensive that amount of gopher wood would cost these days. The tar and pitch should be easy to obtain though.

You get the idea....I just want to know how long it take 20 people to build it...like an Amish barn raising.

Did you know it was built to be a submarine? Sealed doors; no trading with the natives allowed; just float your boat until better days arrive.

And why is gopher wood named for the gopher? Because Gophers burrow under whatever medium they find their little selves in.): (I don't know if it is true, but it sure sounds like fun.)

Of course when starting out as a young man learning various trades I was a gopher. The old guys would say, " go for this or go for that. "

It only took me fifteen minutes to become a "Gonpher" -
whenever the boss or one of his many assistants wanted to make me a gopher, one of my cogophers would tell them "He has already gonpher..." (filling in the blank) and they would send someone else.

I would much rather be a Gonpher. I operated for fifteen years from home as a gonpher, untraceable, paid every payday, great retirement because of reliability.
