As the details behind President Barack Obamas Iran deal emerged earlier this week, those who were worried for the safety of Israel were taken aback by its leniency on Tehran. Most notably, supporters of Israel were shocked by the fact that surprise inspections were not allowed and all inspections must occur with 24 days not hours notice.
In an interview on NPR, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed the plan, having especially choice words for the advance notice required under the deal.
The inspections that were placed to prevent them from c***ting is woefully inadequate, Netanyahu said. Its not that they have 24 hours to be inspected anytime anywhere, its that they 24 days to take their time. To see why they are being inspected. To be given the intelligence data on why the inspection is required.
That is a long time, he explained. You can flush a lot of evidence down the toilet. Thats like like telling a drug dealer we are going to check your meth lab in 24 days. We put you on warning. And therefore I think these inspections are completely porous.
Netanyahu also said that even if the deal is followed, Iran would still go nuclear.
Iran has in fact been given two paths to the bomb, Netanyahu said. One is if they c***t, and the second is is they keep the deal. They win either way.
The prime minister also said Israels policy was to stop Iran from getting the bomb in any way necessary, and that they werent alone.
They are not only committed to destroy us, they are committed to destroy the regimes around us and conquer the Middle East, and go on from there for the rest of the world, Netanyahu said.
Our policy is Iran wont have a nuclear weapons to achieve that goal. And by the way, Im not alone here. Just about every Arab leader agrees with my assessment and therefore when Jews and Arabs agree on something I think its worth paying attention. (H/T Breitbart)
