They b***h and moan and call the bakers out for not making a cake, now they b***h and moan because a baker made a cake. Which is it people. You can't have it both ways.

Righty - The people railing against this bakery are of course just exercising their right to free speech, as are you in your post. But I doubt the folks against the Confederate battle f**g cake will find any grounds upon which to sue. The Oregon cake issue was different in that there is a law on the books that specifically bans discrimination based on sexual orientation.

I like you Paul. I really do. You have to understand though, we are damn tired of having the gay agenda forced down our throats. Especially with our kids/grandkids! You people are a very small portion of the population. Why should the entire country be forced to bend to your will? Don't tell me about 'e******y', and 'rights' either! That has all gone out the window now! Gays have their 'right' to practice their gayness in the public square while Christians are being destroyed for practicing their 'rights'.
I don't know....it would seem that gay rights, black rights, illegal invader rights, and leftys rights trump the rights of the average, 'joe 6 pack' working man who just wants to have a 'normal' family.
I don't want to hear about how 'normal' has been re-defined either! I know what normal is! I have no issue with ANYONE, but this militant crap has to stop!!

These activists are only making things worse! I struggle....but I am starting to feel A LOT of resentment about such a small portion of our population dictating to us!!!!

This is all BULLS**T!!!!

You want freedom?
So do I!!!!!!!

Yeah, the majority used to make the rules, but somebody changed them - and it wasn't the majority. Now, any minority group that can afford enough lawyers can have their own rules - and set them for everybody else.

I guess the majority better get busy and hire some lawyers themselves - before they find themselves deported to Mexico or somewhere. I know one of our greatest statesmen said that "all men are created equal", but he apparently added under his breath, "as long as they can afford enough lawyers to prove it". I guess that's what he did, because I can't think of another reason why the majority of us got sidelined and warehoused.

So the root of all evil really IS money. Huh, we pay for the government, now we have to hire attorney's - to protect us from the government. This sounds like some sort of mob style protection racket. Could it be run by - lawyers?

Haha! You should have done that BEFORE he went to law school. If you do that now, he'll have everything you own, your body after death, to do with as he pleases and your wife too.

My lifes moto is, "never kick a lawyer in the nuts". I prefer to kick them in the head till they stop moving, but that option is out for you, him being family and all.

Right on Archie. Also you can not legislate respect. It must be earned. The homosexuals and b****s need to understand this.

Archie - I hear your frustration and, as always, defend your right to express your opinion.

What distresses me most about the heart of your post is the idea that extending equal rights somehow compromises the rights of "average joe 6-pack." One needn't agree with every iteration of a group to allow equal access to goods and services or the benefits society extends to the majority. And the right to discriminate is no right at all; it is tyranny under a false banner.

And if percent to the total is a marker for whether or not a group should be treated with equal respect I'm wondering what that number should be. In the 1860 census s***es represented a mere 13% of the population of the U.S. Does the L***Q population need to reach that point in order to have access to human dignity?

There will always be people of every persuasion that some think are misbehaving. A civil society works to find a middle ground where everyone has an opportunity to be both an individual and a part of the group. I think we are all better off when that's the case.

I mostly agree here. BUT.....don't you think these militants with financial backing to destroy people's livelihoods is taking it a bit far? I have researched the Oregon case as deeply as I can, and I don't see any problem with what the owners did at all. It is cases like that that make us feel like we are being forced to embrace something that we don't! Sure, we can get along and all. I just get s**k of having it jammed down my throat! And, do we really need to be pushing this on children in school? I think that is for parents to explain to their own kids.

Another thing. I am deeply, horribly offended by the images I have seen of scantily clad gays splayed out on a cross, mocking my beliefs!! No! I don't have to look at them, and I choose not to. BUT It was done in the public square!! Yet the TEN COMMANDMENTS are offensive if displayed in public?
Where are we heading Paul?
