WHich would you rather have - a $7.50/hour job slinging hash equaling approximately $12,000/year or go on welfare? Now you state that this mother of 2 is "eligible" to receive $38,000/year. I'd like to know how many are receiving that amount.

Your example is an entry level job. Get an education, quit having babies, and get a job paying adequate wages to support one's self.

A whole lot of people. There are many more receiving even greater amounts. The more baby's one can produce, the more the welfare is increased. It is exponential.

I receive no welfare money. I do have a question for you though: Why don't you do something constructive rather than accessing this site only to be negative. Is there anything in life you enjoy other than this? Seems as if you spend all your time on line.

It would appear you are the one obsessed with negativity. I suppose my 'negativity' arises because of my low tolerance for stupidity and ignorance.

And yes, I do spend a lot of time, perhaps an inordinate amount, on this site, and others. It is more stimulating than the boob tube. I also read rather extensively. How do you spend your leisure time? Other than this site?

I spend my time reading and listening to CD books, creating wire-sculptured jewelry, cycling and breeding Oriental Shorthair cats and instructing dance (flamenco). I also enjoy nature - all positive occupations. I also enjoy creating home improvement crafts. My life is filled with beauty. I've been very fortunate to have been born multi-talented. Don't have time for negativity as you might see in other of my responses on this site. I also enjoy classical music. Friends have advised me to write of my many and varied experiences but I don't have the discipline to follow that course. I also keep in touch on advances in science and am impressed with the intelligence and advancement of many of the younger generation.
PS: I don't waste my time on television and would rather get my news either on the radio or on line.

When, I was a child in West Virginia, No one objected to a mother that was a widow receiving welcome and help from private sources. It was something they consider a christen and societal responsibility dictated by scripture. Of course in these end times our people are in the process of metamorphosing into a lower animal form then dogs. They call evil good and evil bad. The bible
means nothing to them. K*****g babies by the millions in the US is just one example.
