Your last statement about polio shots caused me to reminisce then realize those funny smallpox ? scars on our shoulders have disappeared?

Where did they go. With the wind? Sigh!

Until you mentioned it, sir, I never realized that, at some point in time, it disappeared! I remember the little, circular
raised "perforation" area. The interior of it remained white for as long as remember having it.

Where, indeed, did it go? Only a miniscule bit remains.

We'll all be looking forward to your recollections, Salty. I hope to see some fancy foreign lingo thrown in. I can't imagine your ever being boring.

Just be sure to have a story or two in reserve for any possible future dinner engagement.

"Dinner engagement"...are we planning another get together? Why was I not told? Am I still verboten because of my Sunday behavior?

Mine still remains clearly visible on my left arm. :?: Is it my poor sieve memory or do I recall they required it be on the left arm?

Has anyone mentioned hoola hoops, t***sister radios, tops, yo-yos? Although they weren't new when I was a rug-rat, I sure spent many an hour with them, along with marbles, walking stilts, and cans w/string as communication devices.

I can't begin with the singers of the '50s, but Perry Como and Tony Bennett remain, to this day, two of my favorite singers...of all-time. And, regarding entertainment, how
'bout all those cheesy horror movies?

You should have tried something simple like teach him to use the "C and D" scale to divide. It would have scared the heeby jeebies out of him.

Oh yes, those were the days.

It scares the "heeby jeebies out" of me. Remember 2+2 is 5 1/2 to Aunti.

Don't feel slighted, AuntiE. Given a choice, I'm sure both OldGringo (Salty, to me) would pick you over either of the other of us.

This is incumbent upon my finding a way out to El Cajon to visit my newest, bestest buddy. I hope to do so, but it is still early in the planning stages. Rest easy, you're still the "cream of the crop" with us.

Your youth would explain "tiddlwinks", it was "tiddly-winks"

I'm loving Ronnie Milsaps' "Lost In The '50s Tonight" more as I read on.

We could search out some of the old toys mentioned and have recess after dinner.

The Vermont Country Store still sells some of the toys, such as tops, pick up sticks, Lincoln Logs, and others.

Hoopla hoops have made a come back as an exercise tool.

No one mentioned "kick the can" as a game.

I know mine is (was) on the left shoulder. You may be right, but...don't know for sure.

True, but that may be because "it", "is kicked down the road", so often, nowadays...by just about everyone.
