But only if you know of a way to run the country with less taxes.

If we are to have taxes just where is the money you wish to collect to come from?

With so many here on this site feeling that collecting the money from those that have almost all of the money is off the table.

Come on now The Right controls both sides of Congress Get to work on it.

If you wish t see some one from the right in the White House show me some action.

By the way there is not enough money in the hands of the general public to fix the problems we have.

Quit blaming any one & show me where the money is going to come from.

Good luck with your requests. The Republican congress has no answers, but they're quick to criticize Obama, no matter what he says or what action he takes.

You know how the Congress works, sleight of hand, smoke and mirrors, etc. Announcing an income tax rate lowering, is good for v**es, as most folks won't bother to find out what they REALLY did. If you examine closely all the things we spend our money on, you will see an enormous amount of tax money "factored in" and passed on to the final consumer - you. These taxes are hidden from the naked eye - on purpose - so that folks won't realize how MUCH they are actually paying to one Gov. entity or another.

The taxes on tobacco and booze were a little more t***sparent at first, because that's what was used to get v**es at the time. Look now and you'll find that NONE of that money is going to where is was stated it was SUPPOSED to go - when those taxes were introduced and then raised markedly. People forget and Congress counts on that.

Every tax dollar that is collected, from the raw materials, through manufacturing and ultimately to us - is PAID by us - as every cent is "factored in" to the costs passed to the next player in that chain. To add insult to injury, we are taxed again on the money we earn to buy stuff - paying everyone taxes through who's hands that stuff passed. To add further injury to the insult on top of the previous injury - States and Cities impose Point of sale (POS ) taxes - so we are paying taxes - on already taxed money.

So the premise of cutting taxes is a damn lie from the get go and I don't care WHO proposes it, it's still a lie. They will have ALREADY made provision for replacing that money AND adding an increase to boot - hidden in the usual ways. That means, that for every dollar of "tax cut", we'll be paying $1.50 for it - at the end of the day.

I think that behind the smoke screen you just pointed out is the biggest source of the problems we face.

After the average person pays all of those hidden taxes
the is not much left to pay income taxes.

Yet there are many on this site the feel investment income should be taxed less.

They fail to see just who is picking their pockets.
