I trust you to help find the common ground

There are more people out there that have the same basic values that I have than those who would look to cause harm to others.

I think it would be hard for me to cause harm in a personal way to any one.

I think that my personal manner in dealing with others leads them to trust me.

I don't think that I am any better at this than most but I do work at it.

The world has become so fast paced & complicated that people don't seem to have the time or patience to give each other the attention needed for good interpersonal relationships.

Here on this forum most of us take the extra time to put our thoughts across but show little patience for those that think a bit different.

I keep looking for the right mix or words that will lead to finding the common ground that will lead us to the answers to the problems that need fixing.

Most of us have been around long enough to solve most of our problem on a personal level & feel that how we did that served us well & see no need to change.

But the thing is there are problems that affect us that need attention & our looking at how each of us came to this point
doing things on a some what different path that our way was the best & only way.

The mistake comes in not seeing that we are much more alike than we will admit to.

It is people just like our self that hold the keys to find the common ground needed to solve the problems.

I never tire of your posts, Floyd. Some may view them as altruistic, but I read common sense decency in your words. I guess, nowadays, that is viewed as somewhat altruistic/idealistic. :| They often serve as a reminder of the Golden Rule.

There is so much good in the world that it out weighs the bad by a lot.

It is just that it takes so much good to undo the bad that there is little gaining of ground.

On top of it there is so much not so good things done in the name of changing for the better.

Changes that leave many losing ground.

Each of us needs to seek out what it is that each of us does that makes things better & things that don't help make things better.

A kind word a the right time can go a long way in making things seem better.

Holding back a not so kind word can work too.
