Many years ago I made the mistake of telling my wife I could weld and do carpentry and I am working harder now that I am retired than when I was working us guys have to not brag so much especially to our wives

My wife didn't need to be told I was an i***t. Very little is expected of me in retirement. I planned it that way. I am very lucky Sgt Major Slatten likes to fish. I'm there for her!

Yes we like to fish also here in Northern Minnesota although she isn't so fond of ice fishing (she doesn't trust the ice)

My, you are lucky. The Sgt. Major and I visited the North Coast of Minnesota a couple of years ago. We traveled from Duluth to Grand Portage, and also up to near Ely or Eli, I can't remember. Absolutely gorgeous country! I saw my first wolf in the wild, including a trip to Yellowstone, & possibly a moose...although I did see a moose in Yellowstone on a previous vacation years earlier. Loved the lighthouses along the shores of Lake Superior.

It snowed in Duluth upon our arrival at the Black Bear (?) casino in the middle of May. I thought I was there for a summer vacation. It was in the upper 30s at night, as I remember, but the days were wonderful. I ate my first walleye at the Lemon Wolf Cafe in some small port town along the coast. Drank a Moose Drool beer just for the experience of drinking a "Moose Drool" beer.

Had a great time in NE Minnesota. I envy you...except I fear the winters must be tough.

I forget this thread is about PC trouble.

not to worry computer trouble is a good lead in , but yes I love it here , should try the beer made from wild rice it is pretty good if you like dark beer , winters are what winters are you just have to live with it, at least we don't have mosquitoes then, besides it gives me a chance to get close to the admiral

I hope you get as close as often as you can to the Admiral!

Tread lightly, and civily (as you do, already) when posting on the main forum of politics. Always a sensitive and volatile atmosphere. Most will respond in kind.

I entered my comment on Twain before anyone else tried to nail you. No disrespect intended!

Speaking of the Admiral she is my rock , my anchor , when I got back from Vietnam and meet her her approach to life and just being who she was --saved my butt and to say I am grateful is to understate it beyond measure

I met my Sgt Major just 25 years ago, and she bailed me out of a personal crisis, and like your Admiral, she saved my butt!

Read my latest on the "Who's on first?" thread.
